Would you trust this Hong Kong seller?
There's this seller from Hong Kong who has over 10, 000 positive feedback and only 12 neutral ones.
It says 100% positive feedback, but I've personally had a bad experience with Hong Kong/Chinese sellers, I bought a USB memory stick that was apparently 16 GB but when I got it and used it, it corrupted pretty much every file on the USB after re-inserting it into my laptop USB port.
Here's the link to this camera: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nikon-D7000-AF-S-18-105mm-VR-kit-DSLR-Digital-Camera-/250725191912?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3a6062d0e8
Do you think this seller has somehow got fake positive feedback, because I'm thinking about buying this camera and it is over $1000, so I don't want to get scammed.
I'd try another seller, but there are no other 100% positive feedback ones and I try to buy from 100% positive feedback sellers as much as I can, but occasionally I'll allow a few negatives.
I'm worried that if it does work, it will be badly made and different from that camera bought from the store, like Nintendo DS's from Hong Kong.
Would you recommend I buy from him/her?
For your memory stick I would re-format it via widows or via DOS command (make sure you format the right drive).
For your camera 10, 000 feedbacks and 12 neutral ones does far too odd for me. How do the number of feedbacks compare with other sellers you have used.
10, 000 vs. 12 seems a little out of the realm of any possibility that it's for real.
I'd shop elsewhere.
NO. Hong Kongers can't be trusted!
It's obvious that the feedbacks are rigged and the account looks dubious. I wouldn't buy from that seller, I would rather had someone who had less than 100 feedbacks but all are positive and the "buyers" who left the feedbacks have actually bought another item from someone else or is selling their own items. That ensures me it's another person, and not the same person rigging positive feedbacks to boast his account.
If you are nervous about an Ebay seller with 10, 000 positive feedback and zero negative feedback, then you are excessively worried and should not be using Ebay. Go to a local retailer in your home town and buy the product there.
You can't fake this sort of feedback - just look at the variety of buyers - look at their own feedback. They are from all over the world. If you can't trust this feedback how can you trust anyone? There's nothing suspicious whatsoever.
This seller is a good seller and you should just trust them.
Though if you look on Amazon you can get this item at a cheaper price.
