Nikon 1 J1 or V1 (or alternative brand)?
Seriously considering getting the new Nikon 1, but there are two models… The cheaper J1 (sounds like it is for beginners), or the V1.
From what I can see, the J1, apart from the lack of viewfinder, are there many differences?

My compact digital camera needs an update (currently the brilliant Panasonic Lumix TZ-4).
I'm a casual photographer, so do not want to upgrade as far as a DSLR.
However there are these new types inbetween compacts and DSLR, called MILC (mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras), that have caught my eye… PARTICULARLY THE NIKON 1 J1!
However, are these much better than say a high end compact digital camera?

I have a Nikon FG-20, and I haven't exactly gotten the whole jist of aperture and ISO. I've been noticing that many of my indoor pictures have been turning out largely underexposed, which I'm assuming is due to poor setting of aperture. What would be an ideal setting for indoor photography?
