Nikon camera says lens cap is on and it is not, how do i fix this?
When i go to turn on my nikon camera it says that i need to power it off and remove the lens cap. The lens cap has already been removed and it still comes up with the same message every time. How do i fix this problem? Can I fix it myself?
Nikon Lens help, 50mm f/1.4 or 50mm f/1.8?
Contemplating between buying a 50mm f/1.4 or a 50mm f/1.8
The price difference is around $300
but I'm really not too concerned about the price, rather than the quality.
I've looked through example photos of each of the lenses & I've liked the depth of field in the 1.4, I've heard & researched, & people have said that the 1.4 looks better too.
Does anyone else know or see a huge difference?
I'm mainly deciding on this lens for portrait photography, if that changes anything.

Why won't my F80 Nikon turn on?
Its a film camera, its in great condition, and i know it works fine, i've used it before and the pictures develope just fine. I inserted Enercell lithium bateries that worked for a bit but after a short while the screen is completely blank and the camera dosnt turn on. It happened with the old batteries as well. But i turned the camera off and everything. Can someone please help me?

Nikon G lenses, aperature ring adapter?
Quite a few years ago I had all my fully manual film camera gear stolen. I then switched to digital and currently have a collection of Nikon G lenses. I want to get back into shooting film and bought a F2a and an F4 on ebay. Does anyone know of an aperature ring adapter which will allow me to attach an Nikon G lens to an F mount and give me F stop control on a G lens?
