Is Nikon's 50mm f/1.8 good for travel and landscape photography?

I know that the 50mm is a very sharp and fast lens and especially good in terms of bokeh, but would it be good for landscape/general travel photography?

Which DSLR camera is right for me?

I'm on the hunt for a new camera and I'm not sure which one to get. I'm still a beginner but I'm looking to improve with the help of this camera. I would prefer Nikon or Canon. Decent zoom, good manual and auto focus and it MUST have a video setting. Also I'm looking for a good price, so any less than 600$(Canadian) would be nice.
Please give me links to the cameras you recommend!

What is the cheapest Nikon D600 price right now?

I'm in the market to buy a new digital camera. I want to make sure I get something that will last me a long time. In the past 3 years I have gone through 2 different cameras and I want to stick with something that will last me a long time now.

So far, I have my eye on the Nikon D600 price, and for what you get I feel the reviews on the Nikon D600 are good so I would not mind buying the camera. I just want to make sure I can get the nikon d600 at a discounted price or something. I do not mind buying refurbished. Any ideas?

Where can I buy the Nikon D600?

I just went to Best Buy but they said they didn't have it. I have been shopping all over town for this camera but I feel like noone has it in stock.

I would rather buy nikon d600 camera in person rather than online that way I can get it as soon as I pay for it.

Which retailers are carrying this product? Also, do you know any discounts for the camera?

I'm looking for a HD camera?

My birthdays coming up and I've been saving up my money for a while now. I really want a nice HD camera from brands similar to Nikon. Here's some features I'd like in my camera: •HD •be able to go underwater •has many different effects •be able to record. Also I've heard of cameras with an effect that can blur the background and only focus on the main item. And I've heard that there's a camera that can make everything black&white and only show a certain color. Anyone know where I can get a camera that has most of these qualities? It'd be great to leave a link too. Thanks!

Added (1). Oops I mean Canon my bad!

HD Video Quality: DSLR vs Compact Camera?

I want to know which one produces better Video Quality(in stills DSLR wins obviously). Let's say one has a the most advanced Compact camera with Full HD 1080 vs Nikon's or Canon's expensive (Canon D7100, Canon 60D). Sony compact Cameras(infact every Sony DSLR and camcorders) are Equip with AVCHD with 60p/60i Progessive Format Which is apparently Superior than. MOV and Mpg4 formats found on DSLRs. Also they only have frame rates including 24p/25/30p not 60p or 60i.

Rolling shutter Effect. It's true that Both The DSLR and Compact have this Problem, but which has more?
I saw some videos on Youtube DSLRs tend to over saturate colors when shot indoors with lights on.
And i also read that DSLR are not made for Videos and they are recently including Full HD options on them. Whereas Compact Cameras have video options from many years back.
