Nikon Long Exposure Normalization?
Here is some background info to my problem. I'm a Nikon(D700) shooter. Nikon has this "Long exposure Normalization" which is noise reduction for long exposure shots. The problem is that it takes time after the shot and the camera is locked up until it is done. I think it for 3 second exposure it takes 3 second to "normalize". This is fine for landscapes, but for fireworks, I want to be able to snap the next shot as soon as the exposure is done. Turning this option off will leave noisy image even at ISO 200 & 400.
My question is there a way to "normalize" the RAW file in post process using Nikon provided softwares? I use lightroom 3 noise reduction too, but just want to know if Nikon has it.

In what ways is the Nikon D300S better than the D7000?
Looking at the price difference, I'm pretty sure there are some ways the D300S is more awesome… Or am I wrong? Is the D7000 totally better?

Trying to find a selling price for my Canon rebal Xti?
I have owned it for 3 years, and I have been very good to this camera! But I really want to upgrade to a Nikon. So I'm wanting to sell my Canon, but I'm not sure for how much. It will come with a $50 Canon bag, The lens, a telephoto lens and a wall charger for the battery. I would like to know what you all would set for a price for all of this. Thank you!
Added (1). Ok, upgrade wasn't the proper word… I'm thinking of changing. I have been through photography courses, so I know my camera well, and I know you shouldn't change brands once your use to one. I'm actually doing research right now on canon and nikon. I LOVE my xti, but I'm looking for more life like photo's. I'm researching the newer canon also. So I'm still looking for what all the stuff I said above might be worth. In all I'm just looking to upgrade (by new brand is what I'm saying) to newer features.
So if anyone can help me on the question I asked I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Added (2). Ok, people, let me explain this like you are young children… If you have taken pictures before then you would know that you can get a really sharp image and create this photo and when looking at it, you feel as though you are there… The Nikon, that camera can take very sharp incredible photo's, the D300 I think it was. I have tested and tried camera's. So I THINK YOU All ARE MISSING THE POINT! I'm asking for a selling price for my canon! Not you frigging opinions on what camera I should buy!
Gaw forget asking you guys, obviously you have no clue. I will go on the Canon website and ask intelligent people that will answer the question, not critique my future buying!

Are there different models of the Samyang Fisheye for different cameras?
I have a Nikon D40 and Nikon D60. I'm a student and plan on continuing on in the Nikon D series as I head into the professional world and build on my equipment. I'm interested in getting a good quality fisheye lens. So far it looks like a Samyang fisheye 8mm would be the best for me right now. I've seen advertisements for "Samyang Fisheye for Canon" or "For Pantax" or "for Nikon". Are all of these lenses different? Would I be able to use the same Samyang Fisheye 8mm lens for Nikon even when I start seriously upgrading to high quality Nikon cameras like a Nikon D300s and such?

My nikon D200 won't upload pictures to my computer?
Normally the camera uploads pictures to my computer, but i have been using my dad's Nikon D200 to take some photos, and it uploads them fine and connects but it will not let me view the photos. It comes up with the message "photo gallery can't open or view this photo or video. The file format is not supported or you do not have the latest updates."
has anybody else had this problem with this camera? Photos upload from the D200 to my dad's laptop?

Nikon D200 - nikon virtual tours?
A couple months ago I watched an online tour of how to use my Nikon D200 and it showed me every detail I needed to know about the camera… Now I want to watch it again so I can better understand but I can't find the video anywhere. I know it was on nikon-tour.com but I don't know where. If anyone can tell me where the virtual tour is for my camera that would be fantastic, thanks.

Getting film like results from digital sensor?
I have a nikon D7000. Today I was reading an article about Kodachrome no longer being developed and someone commented: "I've been using a kodachrome color profile on my 5DII"
How does one do this? Can this be achieved in Nikon's picture control?
I'm just curious, but thanks in advance for any answers.
Added (1). I found this discussion thread on flickr:
The poster has made a collection of custom picture controls for the nikon D300 that imitate the look of various films. Since I've never used any of these films before I don't know if they're accurate but it's pretty cool.
Picture Controls: http://www.neebu.net/~khuon/photography/NIKON/CUSTOMPC/
they work with my D7000 but I don't know about other cameras.

Can I take pictures with Nikon D300 in cold weather?
I don't want it to brake. There can be condensation and stuff. It's not like it will freeze or something but I don't want anything bad happening to it.
