Trying to find a selling price for my Canon rebal Xti?
I have owned it for 3 years, and I have been very good to this camera! But I really want to upgrade to a Nikon. So I'm wanting to sell my Canon, but I'm not sure for how much. It will come with a $50 Canon bag, The lens, a telephoto lens and a wall charger for the battery. I would like to know what you all would set for a price for all of this. Thank you!
Added (1). Ok, upgrade wasn't the proper word… I'm thinking of changing. I have been through photography courses, so I know my camera well, and I know you shouldn't change brands once your use to one. I'm actually doing research right now on canon and nikon. I LOVE my xti, but I'm looking for more life like photo's. I'm researching the newer canon also. So I'm still looking for what all the stuff I said above might be worth. In all I'm just looking to upgrade (by new brand is what I'm saying) to newer features.
So if anyone can help me on the question I asked I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Added (2). Ok, people, let me explain this like you are young children… If you have taken pictures before then you would know that you can get a really sharp image and create this photo and when looking at it, you feel as though you are there… The Nikon, that camera can take very sharp incredible photo's, the D300 I think it was. I have tested and tried camera's. So I THINK YOU All ARE MISSING THE POINT! I'm asking for a selling price for my canon! Not you frigging opinions on what camera I should buy!
Gaw forget asking you guys, obviously you have no clue. I will go on the Canon website and ask intelligent people that will answer the question, not critique my future buying!
A Nikon isn't an upgrade or a downgrade - its a sideways step (depending on which model you get, of course).
It's not smart to be changing systems if you already have a couple of lenses.
What is it that you are lacking in your Canon? You may find that some better glass or some further knowledge about photography basics might help you to get better images if that's the problem.
Check out eBay. There are always cameras for sale there. "Watch" a few that have the same gear you do and see what they sell for. If you are a registered eBay user you can search completed auctions to see what previously completed auctions sold for.
"Life like photos"? Not sure what you mean by it, but even the world's best camera won't suddenly take incredible photos as if by magic - it will still be up to YOU.
However, if you're sure you'll get magic by changing brands, then look at your local craigslist as well as amazon and ebay and find out what other people are asking/getting for THEIR gear.
You can't upgrade from Canon to Nikon. That was be equal or a downgrade if anything.
EDIT
What does life like photos mean?
Ok bye you idiot. Just because you can't take pictures doesn't mean you should blame it on us.
Yes, its practical to buy a second hand. But its better to buy a new one if the amount is not that far as the brand new one. It is also advisable to read more reviews about it.
