Buying my first DSLR?

Hiya. I'm looking for a a good DSLR camera that will last me through my teenage years. I'm debating between nikon & canon, if that helps. I will use it for videos & pictures. The cameras that i've taken into consideration are:
Nikon d3100, Canon 60D, Canon t2i, Nikon 5000, or Nikon 7000.
under $1000 would be nice, because i'm paying for it by myself without a job. (under the legal age in my state) please suggest other nikons & canon.

What lens should I purchase next for my D90? (Please see details)?

I'm slowly building up my gear and am looking to purchase a new lens within the next few months. Should I go for a wide angle lens? Another prime? A nice zoom?

This is what I have gear-wise at this point:
-Nikon D90
-18-105mm kit lens
-50mm 1.8 prime lens
-sb600 external flash
-gary fong lightsphere (cloud version)
-wireless remote
-tripod

I mainly do portraiture type photography, although don't have any type of studio yet. Most of my work is done outdoors although I do some indoor as well.

I'm looking for a third lens to make my collection a little more well rounded. I'm taking photos of couples, families, and also solo portraits.

Should I go for a wide angle lens? Another prime? A nice zoom?

Nikon D5000 master flash?

I'm trying to figure out what external flash I need to get that will trigger my Britek PS-300 lights? Is it only a SB900 or will a 600 work? I just need something to make them flash when I shoot.

What are some good, low priced DSLR cameras?

I have a Nikon D3000, but I'm thinking about selling it and getting something else slightly better. Do you know of any DSLRs that are better but around the same price range?

How to get the 'misty' look on water when taking photos?

I Have a Nikon D60 camera and am struggling to get the 'misty' look on water when taking photos. I have tried altering the shutter speed whilst using a tripod but still can't gain the affect. I'd be grateful if someone could recommend the settings to use. I have had my Nikon a year now and this is one scenario I can't achieve yet.

Bad Nikon experience anyone?

Has anyone had trouble with Nikon repair? Did I make the mistake of going with their product and being stuck with their warranty repair service? Should I not sent it in in the future?

I'm not a member of their pro group, which I forgot the name of, so I'm sure I don't get top priority. I have a D5000 purchased about six months ago, and it just doesn't turn on… Seemed like the manufacturing defect that it was known for. However, its serial number didn't fall under the list of serials that had the typical D5000 problem, so I had to pay for the shipping like it's a normal repair.

The repair itself, however, was under warranty. So $20 shipping spent for something I didn't cause, and it's taking them weeks to send it back. They said they shipped back to me three days ago after the camera was sent in on the 21st (and reportedly received on the 28th), but UPS only got it today apparently. I'm thinking they forgot to return it to me, and only were reminded because I called and asked about it. (It should only take a day of shipping to get from Melville, NY to me in CT.) Is any of this normal?

Nikon D5000. What lens to get?

I'm looking to purchase another lens. I'm at a stump with trying to figure out what lens is good for what I do. I'm a beginnerin photography so I need a bit (lots) of help with figuring out lenses. I do a lot of still life photos, architecture, and urban city like photos. The lens I already have is the Sigma AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) Zoom Lens. I would appreciate any info I get. I also would like to know about the fisheye lens, I'm in love with so many photos taken with that lense.
