Buying my first DSLR?
Hiya. I'm looking for a a good DSLR camera that will last me through my teenage years. I'm debating between nikon & canon, if that helps. I will use it for videos & pictures. The cameras that i've taken into consideration are:
Nikon d3100, Canon 60D, Canon t2i, Nikon 5000, or Nikon 7000.
under $1000 would be nice, because i'm paying for it by myself without a job. (under the legal age in my state) please suggest other nikons & canon.
Consider the Canon Rebel T2i (EOS 550D) full 1080p video recording, 18 megapixels.
If video isn't an issue for you I own and recommend the Canon Rebel XS, an excellent camera.
I've had mine for well over a year and I'm getting excellent results… Still only.
I also have an eos t1i and it does HD video. It's another excellent Canon offering.
I just recently upgraded to the Canon 550D (In US, known as the T2i).It's so far a great camera, defiantly a lot of settings to play around with, the kit lens for this camera is pretty plastic and toy like, light weight but quality is surprisingly decent. I'd say if you don't know anything about photography and just want a nice looking camera (that seems to be a huge trend) get the cheapest out of what your considering. You don't need a top of the line camera right away, unless thats not the case go for the T2i, and if your looking for something like the T2i, go for the T1i. The quality I think is just as good and knocks down in price. My opinions, good luck.
READ THE MANUAL if you get one, it seriously helps a lot. So you KNOW your getting what you should be out of the camera and what It's capable of, cause I know plenty of people who just skip reading on it, and their pictures are not as good as they can\should be.
