What is better or these two dSLR?
1) Canon EOS 550d + 18mm-55mm lens.
2) Nikon D3100 + 18mm-55mm lens.
3) Canon EOS 500d + 18mm-55m lens.
I have no plans to buy a more expensive lens yet. (Meaning few years.)

I 'm trying to step up my game just a bit. I have a good eye, but I'm just not getting "POP" I'm looking for in my pics. For the next few months I'm on a limited budget so I have to work with what I have until I can upgrade. Here's what I've bought/been given or gifted:

I've been working hard at taking my camera off the "auto" setting but again i'm just not getting the right tones and I'm having trouble setting the lighting up to get optimal usage.
Again money is tight so I have to work with what I have, but not so tight that I can't make a few small purchases.
Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
How to set a timer in Nikon D3000?
You know like when you want to take a group picture and you want to be in it. You set the camera to wait 5 seconds and then takes the picture by itself, sorry about the example but that's what I need help with. I don't have the manual with me right now and I'm looking online and can't find anything.

Nikon D3000 got wet and won't work?
Today in school i had my camera in my school bag and my water bottle desided not to close right and it leaked a little in my bag, Making my camera get wet I didn't notice till I got to my class which was about 5 minutes after. I wiped my camera off with a paper towel but couldn't do anything since i was in school. When i got home i took the battery out and it was a little wet but i wiped it off completely and the rest of the camera including the memory card. When i turned the camera on it came up with an error "Auto. I forgot?) off. Contact nikon representative. I turned my camera off and made sure everything was completely dry and it was. I have had the battery out for 2 hours now and it still isn't working. Did i break my camera? What should I do?
Added (1). It barely got wet though? & It still comes on, I think the battery is fried can just the battery get fried?
And I obviously didn't mean for this to happen. Where can I find a battery for this camera?
What other brand of lenses can I use on a Nikon dslr body?
I have a d5000 and I definitely needed to upgrade to something other than my kits lenses…

No matter how much I try and whatever settings I use, the pictures end up looking fuzzy and weird. I would also like so tips on still life photography at home, since I can only venture outside about twice a week. Also, what setting can I use to capture life in motion, for example, and man walking in the rain, without the resultant motion blur? No matter what setting I use, the result is always disappointing.
Looking To Get A New Camera, Any Suggestions?
So, I'm thinking about buying a new camera. I definitely want a DSLR. I was actually looking at a Nikon D7000. Would that be a smart move? I guess I'm asking for reviews on it. And if not, then what kind of camera is a good one? I preferably only want to spend about $1500 - $2000ish.
Korean PDF Manual for the Nikon D3100?
I was able to get the English manual, no problem. I don't need to print but my wife is Korean and the D3100 is a beast to beginners like us! We tried looking on the Korean Nikon website but no success.
Just got one brand new and rather than buying a filter, memory card, flash, bag etc.separately I'd like to find a kit. I've done some searching and I haven't found one… If there aren't any kits does anyone know where I can get these items at a discount price?
