Can i transfer pics from my nikon D3100 straight from my memory card?
I'm having trouble getting pitures i take to my computer! I don't have the cord or watever so can i just take it from the memory card and use it!
I've narrowed it down to three cameras?

Dimensions of a Nikon D40 camera strapD?
I'm making a camera strap cover for a friend. I need to know the length from the end of the leather part to the other end. So basically, if you were to put a cover on it, how long does the strap cover need to be? I don't want it to cover the leather pieces. Also, what is the width? Thanks! I need this information for a Nikon D40 and not a D40x. Maybe they are the same.

Is the Nikon 55-300mm lens good?
I have a D5000 with a VR 18-55mm lens, and need a zoom lens for aviation/wildlife pics.
Nikon have VR 55-300, 70-300, and 18-300mm lenses.
Price also climbs in that order.
Obviously if I had the $$$ this would not be an issue, but also don't want a mediocre slow AF lens.
Someday I'd like to do this for income, and am willing to invest if the $700 price difference is worth it: it'd also be great to have a 1-lens camera with the 18-300, but if the others have good optics/performance, I'd rather do one of them now.

Ok so for my birthday i'm hoping to get at least the Nikon d3000, because i can't afford the d3100.
i was just wondering, is the lens in the d3100 any better the the one in the d3000? Are you able to tell the difference for instance if you took the same picture on the same setting for both cameras?
i don't care that the d3100 takes video, i'm only looking for pictures.

Nikon D3000 Shutter speed won't go past 1/200?
We want to capture motion in sports mode and i heard i have to crank it up to 1/500 but it won't work? It stops at 1/200
Settings for baby portraits using nikon d3000?
What have you found to be the BEST settings for baby pics indoor and outdoor on the nikon d3000? Which iso for indoor, outdoor? What level apeture etc? I'm still getting to know this camera and have produced some very nice pics and some very bad ones with bad lighting. I need advice samples, etc
