Nikon 55-200 lens trouble?

I have a nikon d60 with a 18-70 mm lens and a nikon 55-200 mm G f/4-5.6 ED… The set was bought in july 2009… While shooting a football match i met with an accident where i had a head on collision with the ball… My lens was all the way zoomed to 200mm and retracted with a bang. The af worked but it wasn't sounding so good… I immediately took it to the Nikon service station which kept it for 4 weeks and changed the motor which they had to import… After that day my lens focusing speed has reduced by a lot… THE WORST PART… It won't focus on any distant object… Its infinity focusing has been hampered… I used it on the d5000 and found the same problem… Is there anything i can do abt it or should i discard the lens?

Problem with my Nikon R1 system not always flashing?

I just bought my 2nd Nikon R1 close up light kit… My first one would trigger both flashes no matter where I placed them (within proper distance). ( doing food photography, I was shooting a lot) But my new kit will not trigger both lights All the time… And it's not just one that doesn't trigger, it varies. I thought they wouldn't trigger if piled them on each other, that wasn't the case, I thought it was because they were pointing IN to the lens, that wasn't the case. It is TOTALLY random… The "troubleshooting" in the owners manual didn't fix any issues, and the batteries are bran new (well there's no date on the package).

I'm using a Nikon D90 with a Nikon SB900 head unit. The SB900 is set to 1 and A and the flashes are set to 1 and A. The SB 900 has the master and the slaves all set as TTL, and I believe the camera is set to the same. My last set did not require me to set the camera to "commander" mode because I always used the SB900 speed light as the commander/master.

Has anyone had this problem? And if so how did you fix it? I can always return the set for another one, but I have an important photo session coming up on Monday.

Thank you!

Added (1). I wrote SB900 "head unit" and I meant to type "Speedlight"

Added (2). So far I've tried "rebooting" everything while shooting, changing batteries, and moving around the flashes to be "in sight" and they seem to work a little bit more now, but still do not flash All the time. I'm going to give it a few more days of tests and then see where I'm then.

DSLR FILTERS? Step up and Step down rings?

Ok so i'm buying a Nikon D60 DSLR off my friend and I want to get some filters. However I just want to get a set of them and i've found a kit of 28 filters for £55.00 however they're 55mm thread instead of the 52mm Nikon size. 55mm the size of the Sony filters… Could I use a 52mm-55mm step up ring to use these?

Nikon d5000 won't turn on with Tamron SP AF28-75 XP Di LD IF attached?

I have the tamron lens, and it has the built in AF motor, but the camera body will not turn on when this lens is attached. It turns on with the stock 18-55 nikon af-s lens, but nothing at all with the tamron. Not even booting up to the menu on the lcd screen.

How could I get an idea of the focal length of the Nikon 50mm f/1.8?

I was thinking of getting the 50mm f/1.8 for my d90. I want to see what kind of view its going to give me. I read that the DX equivelent of the lens is 75mm. Does this mean I just zoom my 18-200 lens to 75 to see what it would look like?
