I have a Nikon D90 and I'm doing a gigapan of the inside of a jewelry store for a website. I don't know what lens I should buy to have a good zoom, but also keep as much as possible in focus. Have any suggestions?

I want to buy a DSLR but for now my budget is a little tight?

I'm trying to decide between some of the entry level DSLRs. I need something above point and shoot cameras to capture some moments I've been missing. I've done some research on the Canon XSi, Pentax K-x, and Nikon D3100. I believe those are in the same price range and have some similar characteristics. My decision will be based on shutter speed, good quality with low light, frames per second, built quality, and lens selection. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Added (1). Well "Jim A", I definitely don't have 30 years of experience but if a lesson is what I wanted I would go to school. When I mentioned the good quality photos with low light I was referring to the ISO (sorry for not using the correct term). I know the lens plays a big role on this but some camera features also help on this. Did you misread my question or you just like to sound smart? By your experience you should probably know that some cameras do better than other cameras under certain conditions and I'm not talking about lenses. Different cameras might show more noise in the picture even when using to same ISO, or am I mistaking?

Nikon D90 won't fire anymore but it pop-ups no problem

My Nikon D90s flash won't fire anymore! There was no trauma done to it. I've checked the settings and everything looks fine, it's on auto flash but won't flash! I've tried resetting it, still no flash! What could be wrong with the camera!

Is there a 'B' setting on a Nikon D40x that can be used with a manual lens?

I have a Nikon D40x, but only have a manual lens, which means that I can only use the camera on the 'M' setting.
Is there any way I can set the camera to take long exposure shots (in the same way that the 'B' setting on Nikon film cameras works)?

How do external flashes, like the SB-400 for Nikon, affect pictures?

I have a D3000, and was wondering how something like the SB-400 would affect picture quality? I usually take portraits (both indoor and outdoor), and a lot of low-light pictures. Would the SB-400 help make pictures look nicer? Or do people buy these to get certain affects that I'm not aware of?
