How to safely clean my Nikon D60?
It's a few years old and in great condition but there's some mud on the outside and I wasn't sure what would be safe to use to clean it off. There's a smudge on the lens as well that cloth won't get off. Could I send it in to get cleaned if nothing else?

Is it worth buying a nikon d40 for £100 which says it has problems with the shutter?
In the newspaper there's an advertisement for a nikon d40 camera, it says it's in nearly perfect condition, but it says there's a problem with the shutter, i haven't phoned to ask about the certain problem, but, do you think it is worth buying it for 100£? How much are they to buy brand new?

When is the nikon D5000 upgrade going to be announced?
Hi, i'm looking for my first dslr and i don't want to buy an out dated one so i want to know when nikons going to release their next dslr

I'd like to buy a dslr and currently torn between canon 1000d vs nikon d3100.
If i were to buy canon 1000d, my budget allows me to get 1000d kit + 50mm 1/8.
but if i were to buy canon, i'd probably be stuck with kit lens forever.
i'd like to use my slr to make money like send it to stock photos or something.
is specs differences between the two model really makes a differences? Because i hear it's lens that makes the difference.beside, 1100d has been announce replacing 1000d. Which won't be available here half a year after it's launch.
help?
Added (1). Ops sorry mistake there. I meant if i were to buy nikon, i'd probably be stuck with kit lens forever

D40 battery charged, yet when put into camera there's no reaction?
I've had my d40 nikon a bit over a year now (got it on ebay), and it's worked perfectly. Recently, when plugging in the original nikon battery to the charger, it would blink for 4 seconds (charge) and the cut off. I thought it had something to do with the connection in the actual charger wire, so i bought a new one. When this failed, I tried charging one of my reserve batteries which worked fine. However now that i try putting it into the camera turn it on, nothing works! It's as if the battery's completely dead. What can it be/ what can i do?
Added (1). The first battery was a true nikon one, the second just a generic one. However the charger itself is Nikon, so it has been monitoring the heat… I don't see why they would have reacted that way. The batteries says they're fully charged but doesn't react at all when put into the camera, so i'm wondering whether something could have happened to the camera? Thanks for all the help: D
I'll phone up nikon and ask!

Can I put in a higher quality sensor in my DSLR?
I have a Nikon D40 and I'm at the point where a higher quality camera would benefit greatly. However, I can't really afford a new camera. Would it be possible to put in another sensor like one in a higher quality Nikon and would it be economical?

Are the GorillaPod's any good?
Just wondering if the GorillaPods are any good?
I have a Nikon D90, and i usually use a 50mm lens, so its pretty light.
What are your views on the GorillaPod?

Tips for night time shooting. Nikon d90 with 50mm prime lens?
I need tips.
my pictures always come out a little noisy and the light always a little too yellow. What can i do about these two problems?
also, I know that if you have a small f/stop number such as 1.8 then you can have a faster shutter speed. What would be the ideal iso?
