Will a lens Nikon 18-55mm DX will be fully compatible with my D90?
I was about to buy a lens when I read the following note from the vendor:
Note! DX lenses are NOT recommended for use with "full-frame" digital or 35mm film SLR cameras.
The lens I was buying is Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR AF-S DX.

Added (1). I bought a kit with D90 and Tamron 28-80mm and 75-300mm lenses. But I need to record video in a fairly close distance (for guitar lessons) and the 28-80 doesn't cover much at that distance.
Any recommendation will be appreciated.
In full auto mode why are my photos so dark, the levels are all in the black and the white side always has to be adjusted?

I use nikon D90 with the kit lens
and when I use manual mode and set the F stop to 3.5 (the lowest it can go) it doesn't make a difference to the focus of the background, as to when the F stop is a higher number.
the only time when the background is out of focus to the extent i want it to be is when i zoom in all the way but sometimes i want the out-of focus background without doing that.
what settings do i need to use so the background is more out of focus, or do i simply need to buy a 50mm lens?
Can't import video from jvc to macbook?
I just bought the jvc gz-hm300bu everio. I can't install the software with the disc provided. I tried to search for it online but had no luck. The sd card i'm using, i also use for my nikon d5000. When i connect the camera to my macbook the photos/videos from the nikon appear to be imported but not the ones from the jvc. What am i doing wrong?

I've tried using flash on all my camera modes but it won't work. Its just making a clicking noise.sometimes when i put the flash down and i press the "flash button", it won't even come up.
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G Lens, What is it like?
I'm thinking of buying the Nikon D3100 (this isn't about that though) and I'm thinking of buying a fixed, prime 35mm f/1.8G lens. What will this be like? I know it won't be possible to zoom as the focal length is fixed at 35mm, but am I right to think the f/1.8 aperture will allow me to take photos with a faster shutterspeed?
And this will in turn have a short depth of field, how will this affect the sorts of photos I can take? I've heard it will be good for portraits, but is the depth of field like an actual limit of distance OR is it distance from the object it is focused on? If that makes sense.
I took an adorable video of my daughter laughing on my nikon d5000. This was a few weeks ago, I had put the SD card into my computer and uploaded it to Facebook for friends and family to see. I can't find it on my computer and I don't remember saving it. I have no idea how to retrieve it, and I don't know how to save the video off Facebook or if that's even possible. Some please help.
