What are the advantages of shooting in RAW format rather than a high quality jpg?
I use a Nikon D80, and am becoming more familiar with its capabilities. I've been told shooting in RAW format allows for more manipulation of the photographs later. I don't have Photoshop and am not going to spend the money on that right now. So would shooting in RAW format still benefit me? I'm able to shoot RAW + jpg at the same time, but it fills up the buffer faster and takes longer to save to the SD card.

Nikon d3100 speedlight vs strobes?
I have a nikon d3100 but I also use 35mm film cameras and have a sb400. I have a $300 limit.
but I want I flash or some sort of lighting system I can use for both of my cameras, I want to be able to shoot weddings, portraits, and live bands with this. I can sell my sb400 to up my limit. I was thinking about getting a beauty dish too just because I think they're cool but I can't get one for a sb400.another problem with the sb400 is it casts a shadow of certain lenses. And advice will help!
Added (1). Also I have a way of getting a sb600 for $175, which I kinda want rather than the sb400 I have now.

Will my SB-600 for my Nikon d70s run my off camera Slave flash?
I'm trying to do a little more research before I purchase a SB-600 flash for the hotshoe mount on my Nikon d70s. This camera does not have the slave flash control on it. Will this flash trigger my off camera flash, such as my flash umbrella? I'm looking for a wireless option and I keep reading about this particular flash.
What Can I do to prolong battery life on my nikon d5000?
The only trick I know: Someone told me that after charging it, I'd have to wait for the battery to cool down for me to put it into the camera for use.

What settings on my nikon d5000 can I change so that the pictures don't turn yellow-ish?
Whenever I take a picture indoors where the lights are pretty dim, the pictures on my nikon d5000 turn yellow. I change the iso and the shutter speed to accommodate the darkness but the pictures still turn out yellow. What else can I do to prevent this from happening?

Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor work with my D3000?
Right now all I have is the 18-55mm lens that came with the D3000 and I would like something that zooms in a bit more. I have looked at other lens that zoom in less but cost way more so I'm not sure why this lens is so much cheaper but I just don't know enough about photography to know if this lens will work or not.
