How to adjust a Nikon D70 Shutter Speed to the Fastest Possible?
I just got a used Nikon D70, this is my first DSLR and boy am I lost! It didn't come with a manual, so i'm Really lost! And yes, I'm a TOTAL begginer, I just wanted a decent camera to play with. I want to adjust the shutter speed to the fastest possible. I think i have to set the rotating piece on the left to either M, S or P, but after that i'm pretty much lost. What number on the eye viewfinder should it be set to so that it can be at its fastest?
And I know this second question is off topic, but if you know it, please, kindly answer it too. I have the Nikkor 18-70mm lens, is there a special setting that i should use for the pictures to come out brighter when i'm shooting indoors? Thanks so much in advance for any help! MUCH appreciated!

Which one of the following is better?
Ok so I just bought a nikon d3000 and I'm really into photography and Photoshop and I have been working alot on website like picnik however I want to buy a MacBook because I hear they are good for photo editing. I also want to use it for a regular laptop, like watch videos type school papers and go on the internet so which would he better, the MacBook, MacBook pro, or the MacBook air?

I have a Nikon D40X Digital SLR and i'm not a complete idiot and i'm not the best photographer in the world but I wanted a half decent camera to take some nice photos. Problem is when I go to take a photo on the auto setting it focuses and just doesn't take the photo as if there's something wrong. Sometimes it works perfectly with no problems at all. Is this a stupid problem? Like some sort of setting thats not allowing the camera to take a picture under certain conditions or something? Any help would be appreciated as i'm getting annoyed of missing a good shot because my cam lets me down
Cheers Jason

I already use a Nikon D3000, a Polaroid 250 Land Camera, a Polaroid Big Shot, a self-made pinhole camera that uses 35mm, and I'm beginning to use my mom's old Samsung Evoca 170se.

I have a nikon d40 and I need a little advice on action shots?
I'm trying to take action shots-particularly rodeos and baseball games that are mostly at night with arena lights-if someone could just give me a starting place-or setting I may could play with it enough to get it right. I have been to other websites that offer advice, but to be honest, I really don't understand much of what they offer. If I could just get a starting point I fell like I can figure it out from there-Thanks so much!
