Nikon D3100 - 18-55mm Lens not good enough, need more zoom
I bought Nikon D3100 camera with 18-55mm lens (package deal), now I notice that it doesn't have enough zoom. I want to know what options I have, shall I sell this and buy 18-105 mm or 18-200mm or buy a 55-105mm lens?
Why do people carry two lens (18-55mm and 55-105mm) when they can get 18-105mm one lens? Is it just price or some other reason.
Please post your iinputs.
Please hurry, I need to order lens before I go on cruise next week.
Added (1). Do I have to buy Nikon lens only or can I buy other brands, Please suggest which brands are good if yes.

Compatible Micro Lens for Nikon D5000 Camera?
I need a micro/macro lens for my Nikon D5000 camera. I know there's a list of compatible lens in my manual but I was wondering if the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED was compatible with my camera also. If not could someone please tell me a good micro/macro lens that is compatible with my camera and preferably $600 or less?

Nikon D3000 Camera Lenses? - 1
I recently have an urge to buy a new lense for my girlfriend's camera, as a little surprise for her.
Now, I'm no expert in cameras, especially hers,
But I found a wide angle lense and a close up lense set on Ebay
Her Nikon D3000 is a 55mm lense if I remember correctly
These lenses are 52mm and they also say in the description it's for D3000 cameras
I'm slightly confused, will the 52mm lenses fit the 55mm camera?
Sorry for long winded, slightly confusing question

Why won't my Nikon D3100 connect to my computer?
My Nikon D3100 is brand new, and I took a decent amount of pictures that I want to upload, but when I connect it to my computer nothing comes up.
I have a Mac OS X.
Can anyone tell me how to connect my camera to my computer?

I just bought a new D3100 SLR camera, and I would like a really good Zoom lense for it. Does anyone know if I can get a brand of lense that is NOT Nikon for less money? Can I use an off brand, or am I stuck with Nikon only? Any suggestions on where I can get the lense(s) as well?
I'm really new to this camera, so I need help.

Could I use my Nikor 50mm lens on a Mamiya Sekor 500 TL?
I have a 50mm Nikor lens for my Nikon D90. I have the Mamiya Sekor 500 TL without a lens. Are there any adapters or anything I could use? If there are, which ones?
Added (1). I tried putting it on, it doesn't fit without an adapter of some sort. The lens is too big for the mount.
It's a small circle. It doesn't even look like it would latch on…

Going into DSLR the first time and I need advices here?
Dear all,
I'm going to get the first DSLR of my life and it's gonna be the D90 or D7000.
If I were to get the D90, I'm definitely be able to get at least nice lenses and as for D7000, it will have to be only one.
However, I'm a bit confused here.
AF lenses and AF-S lenses' main difference is the motor capability but since these DSLRs consist of a self motor, why do we still get the AF-S version?
Is it because this will hasten the autofocus function?
Another question is I'm hoping to be able to take close ups in a good lense and I have actually chose the 'AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D' but I have also chosen the 'AF Zoom-NIKKOR 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF'. Do you thinks it's inappropriate to do so?
Should I choose the standard zoom lens in this case?
Sorry for the numerous questions and hope that you guys don't mind giving me some advices.

Blurry photos while using my Nikon, 55-200m lens
So I was out taking photos of my brothers baseball game. He was pitching, and I of course was standing behind the fence ( home plate/dugout ). Anyways I have a D3000 and was using my kit lens ( 55-200m) for distance. I had it on S, Iso 200, and it was about 530. Still had nice sunlight. I was zoomed out all the way, and I couldn't get my shutter speed above 125 without it saying, too low light. Basically, I got home and all photos are so grainy. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. Any suggestions?

I've at my Nikon D3000 camera for a few months now.
And I came to realize I didn't really "know" how to use it.
I mean, I know how to take pictures with it… I just find that there are so many different settings i could be using.
[I want to be able to take "Breathtaking" photos with different angles and settings and what not.]
I just don't know where to start.
Any tips, camera settings, ideas, angles? ANYTHING could help.
