How to do a background blur using a Nikon D60?
Something similar to this photo:
Would I have to set my camera to manual mode in order to achieve such quality? I usually use automatic and when I zoom in to the subject as close as the one above, it doesn't end up blurring the background. The lens is a 18-55 MM. Any tips/advice is appreciated!

Nikon D40x won't shoot multiple photos in continuous mode?
I've been shooting with a Canon for a few years now. I just picked up an almost new Nikon D40x from an art student here in town to try out a Nikon and see how I like them. Thing is now that I've got it home I realized that it only takes one photo at a time. It is in continuous shooting mode and I have tried in in all modes from auto to full manual. I have completely reset the camera to make sure it wasn't a setting but when i hold down the button it just takes one picture even in jpeg basic size. Is there something i could be missing? Could the SD card be holding it up (its a slow one i had laying around) or could there be something wrong with the camera?

Nikon D3100 Essential accessories?
Hi
I have purchased my first nikon D3100 which has come with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR kit lens,
and am looking at adding the foll essentials
1. Nikon lens 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX
2. Lens UV/Protection filter for both the lenses i will hold i.e
(a) 18-55mm and
(b) 35mm f/1.8G
3. Polarizing filter + Lens Hood
4. Nikon lens cleaning kit
5. Giottos rocket blower
6. Flash SB 600
Whilst most it is straight forward, Can anyone recommend which Lens filter, polarizing filter and hood i should buy, as there are too many options online. Do not want sub standard ones, as it could affect image quality.
If you have any links on websites, do share.
Lastly, If you think there are any more further essential adds, let me know.

I have a Nikon D70 and a fault is appearing on my photographs. A small, bright red cluster of pixels (it looks like a little flare) appears in the upper right hand corner of the photograph, then a very thin vertical line extends downwards from that spot. The line is perfectly vertical, about one pixel wide and only extends down from this point- never up or across. The fault appears on every single shot. Anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Which Fisheye Lens for a Nikon D60?
I have a Nikon DSLR D60 and really want to experiment more with different shots. I have been looking around Amazon for ages and various other shops for a decent Lens or an attachment that screws on to the basic lens, however because of price i can't afford a professional one that costs at least £300 + so was looking for something similar to an Opteka model or something for £50 and under.
I just need help deciding which to buy as i find i can never trust online reviews and descriptions, someone help me please: D
