Nikon D3000 Camera Lenses? - 1

I recently have an urge to buy a new lense for my girlfriend's camera, as a little surprise for her.
Now, I'm no expert in cameras, especially hers,

But I found a wide angle lense and a close up lense set on Ebay
Her Nikon D3000 is a 55mm lense if I remember correctly
These lenses are 52mm and they also say in the description it's for D3000 cameras

I'm slightly confused, will the 52mm lenses fit the 55mm camera?

Sorry for long winded, slightly confusing question

Indeed you are slightly confused

the lens that she has is an 18-55mm lens
the 52mm that you mentioned is the lens thread size- so you can add filters and other things

the Nikon D3000 will take all AF-S lenses from Nikon. A logical next choice of lens would either be the 55-200mm or the 55-300mm lens. Both of those lenses are telephoto zooms which are good for faraway subjects.

best would be to ask her what kind of lens she wants- there are so many

The lenses you are looking at screw onto the front of a lens that has a 52mm diameter. The diameter measurement Is different from the 55mm focal length of her lens.

Now, those lenses you are looking at are total junk. None of the screw on lenses are any good and will result in distorted photos. If you want to get her a lens, go to the Nikon site and look at the real DSLR lenses. Be warned, a real lens will cost hundreds.
