I have some people I'm taking photos of. I asked them if they personally want some photos on a disk or on Myspace. Some said a disk so they could print them off.
I have a Nikon D3000 camera 10.2 MP and shoot JPG's. I have 4 picture editing programs on my computer.

So I'm really worried that if I take the photos from my 8GB memory card put them on my DELL laptop(windows 7) and edit some like sepia, B&W, and change the color of an object in the photo then put them on a CD and mail them to the person that when they print them out, the photos will be messed up.
Will they be?
Which lens is worthy, nikkor 70-300G or Tamron LD 70-300 macro?
I'm considering to add an inexpensive zoom lens for my Nikon D80, but I'm stuck on the choice of these two lens: "Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G" and "Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 LD Macro". A part of me is inclined to Nikkor for its name and optical quality and another one is inclined to Macro of Tamron. I'm on Tamron only because of Macro. Please suggest how much it is valued and worthy to choose Tamron instead of Nikkor.

What type of camera filter would I use to cut out everything except UV light?
I have a Nikon D3000 and I used a UV dye to find a leak. I have a UV flashlight, but I want to take a picture of it. The pictures show just a blueish blob and nothing else. Any help is welcomed.

Added (2). Camera Guy- Thanks for the info. I actually have an IR filter. I wasn't sure if I would need a UV filter or if there was a setting that I could use on the camera. I think that I will be buying the UV filter.
