I just recently got my Nikon D3000, and am thrilled to use it. I love photography and can't wait to put the camera to good use. I've never had any photography classes, just plenty of cameras to shoot around with. I want to take pictures of a baby that i know (mini photoshoot) and also my brothers grad pictures and i'm not sure what the best settings to use are or what special features the camera has. The owners manual gives it all, but ill admit i get confused. Any help is appreciated.
My nikon sb-800 flash keeps firing off by itself?
When i take pictures, the flash still works with my d90. The buttons and the lcd is fine. The problem is, when i turn on the flash (whether it's on my camera or off of it) after a few seconds, it flashes. Then another time after a few seconds. Then another time until the flash goes on standby. When it's on standby, it doesn't flash. But when i turn it on again to use it it flashes by itself again. It wastes the power and it could blind either me or my subjects. Please let me know if there's any way i could fix this.

Added (1). When i put on the lense on the nikon d5000, it displays NO Lense Attached.

I'm looking to buy a new DLSR Camera. I'm a beginner so I don't need something super fancy, but I'm a fast learner. I'm look between the Nikon D3000, the Canon Rebel T2i or the Sony A33. What are your opinions on these cameras. Most of my pictures will be of my children playing and running around.

However, when I try to choose these from the menu options I get a message saying "This option is not available with current settings" What do I have to change to be able to use these features? This is my first dSLR so any help is appreciated!

Downloading Nikon d3100 images to a computer (Mac)?
I recently bought a Nikon d3100 dSLR camera, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm just sort of confused about how to download the images I've taken onto a computer (I have a Mac). The camera didn't come with a cord to download the images, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to transfer the images onto my Mac. It's my first dSLR, so I'm a little new to this. Any help is greatly appreciated!
