Nope. You can't charge a camera thru a USB. Fortunately, however, you can purchase a replacement charger pretty darned cheap these days. Many wal marts even carry the universal chargers. If you need to find something locally try there, best buy or any camera store in your area.

The only way is to remove the battery and put it into the Nikon charger. As has been said several times here, the USB cable is only for transferring data, not charging.
