Which camera. Nikon or Lumix?

I have narrowed it down to three camera's finally.

Which one would you go for?

Added (1). And what is the difference between the D5100 and the D3100. I know the D5100 has a flip out screen and that's why I'm edging towards that one but is the D3100 any better internally?

I'd go with the D5100.It's a step above the D3100.

The D5100 is a D3100 in steroids. Just, better sensor, better components, better everything

as for the G3, that is not a DSLR and lenses are still pricey for those systems. Stick with Nikon

Definitely go with the d5100. I was in the same boat as you a while back and I got the d5100 after weeks of searching the web. I have no regrets.
