How well does the Nikon D5100 work at concerts?

I'm planning on getting the Nikon D5100 in a few weeks or so, just in time for a concert. I was wondering if the camera works well at recording videos in loud environments (I'm attending a hip-hop concert - to be more specific, Watch the Throne with Kanye West and Jay-Z) and if the built-in microphone can capture audio just fine.

Indoor/Bar photography with no external flash?

A friend of mine requested that I take some photographs of the bar she works at. I've told her ahead of time that I would need an external flash to do this properly, but that I do not have one. She still would like to get a few shots anyway. I told her they would be free because I've never attempted indoor/bad photography.

I have a Nikon D60 with a 35mm f/1.8 Nikkor lens as well as the 18-55mm kit lens.

I'm wondering what settings (ISO, etc) would be best to shoot in. Please keep in mind, that my camera does not handle noise well past and ISO of 800. Also, AND AND All other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Added (1). Yes, I know how to check white balance, but feel free to elaborate. It's always nice to have reminders.

Why is my Nikon always out of focus?

I have a Nikon d3000… And when I pay so much for a camera I expect it to produce good pictures.
However I have to lensens, but they have problems focusing.
Problem nr 2 is that the pictures don't produce details. (Quite blurry) I swear, my nokia camera is better for macro. Why is this? I have a tripod so movement is not the problem.

Any ideas?

D90, make malfunction?

I got a Nikon D90 last year, it keeps having malfunctions of where it won't take pictures and says "error" on top. I have been told to pop out the battery, reattach the lens or reset it. The problem is for my line of work I don't have time to constantly keep doing that (also it is occurring more often as well as most of the time the 3 methods do not work).
Also a lot of people i have been talking to who have D90's say they have the same issue with taking pictures and thats why it was discontinued.

What's you opinion? Is it just me and a handful of people that have this problem or is it the camera?
