What is better Nikon or Cannon?
So I've been looking to get a camera for Christmas from my Parents.
I'm not really familiar with nikon or cannon cameras. I like more of the nature woodsy high fashion types of pictures. I have been looking at two camera the Nikon d3100 and Canon EOS Rebel T2i
does any one have experience or background knowledge on either of these?
How to turn of information about picture on Nikon D40?
I'm borrowing my mother's camera, and every time I take a picture, when I review the pictures they have the information about the photo on them and I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn it off. If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Nikon D5000 prints out dark when taken inside?
I have a Nikon D5000. When I take a picture inside the house and print it out, my picture prints kind of dark and i have to adjust the D-Lighting to high to make the pic look presentable, but when i take a pic outside it prints out just fine? It's looks fine on the LCD screen also, just when i print a pic that has been taken inside. I'm also using a speed-flash SB-700.
Photography help! White backgrounds?
I'm wanting to photograph kids with white backgrounds. I have a Nikon D40 and was wondering how to go about it with just the camera. Do i use a white sheet and the camera flash or photoshop etc.

Wide angle camera lenses fitting nikon d5100?
I'm looking for a wide angle lens to fit my new d5100, in was looking at the Nikon 14-24 F/2.8 but that is Way TO PRICEY FOR ME (unless someone would sell me one second hand a bit cheaper) are there any other nikon wide angle lenses? Or are there any sigma or tamron for a bit less that will still fit my camera? Links to sales or auctions for some would be nice.

What are my choices if I want to buy an external flash and a remote? Are there a lot of options to choose from? And can I use this with another model?
