I'm considering buying a Nikon D60 off of someone. $200 for the body, battery and charger, and strap. I think it's a good deal, but I have only been in the SLR business for under a year lol. The camera is in good shape. What do you think?

Reviews on a Nikon d3000? (vs the d3100)?
I've been dying to get an SLR camera and peruse photography as a hobby. Yes I'm aware the d3100 is a better camera which i would rather have but it is also more money than i have/would like to spend. I have been looking into the d3000 and it has a lot of great reviews and also a lot of reviews saying to get the d3100. I know there's no video but i really don't think i would take many videos anyways. I also know there's no live view which is kind of annoying but i don't know how much that really matters?
I'm a freshman in college majoring in apparel design and i would like to be able to use the camera for photo shoots. Also, i love being outdoors and often go on hikes and trips to abandoned buildings and such that i would love to photograph.
Basically I just want to know if it is that important for me to save up for the d3100, or if the d3000 is fine for what i would use it for. And is there that much of a difference in image quality?
thanks for any help and i hope everyone has a great new year!

I want to shoot some sport pictures but i need to know what setting would be the best?

About the Polaroid PL-108AF Studio Series flash?
I'm looking for a cheap flash unit for my Nikon D3000, this Polaroid PL-108AF Studio Series is one of the cheapest I found. Does anyone know if it is safe to use with my D3000?

What's wrong with my Nikon D3000?
My Nikon D3000 was working perfectly fine seconds before. I was taking photos and it was fine. And then suddenly I realised it was coming up with an error message saying, 'Error. Press shutter release button again.' I did this, but the message continued to come up.
Was it something I did? Because it seemed perfectly fine and then this message suddenly appeared. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with it?

How to play Nikon d5100 video on my computer?
It seems it's a quick time player file, but quick time plays it very badly. Any other alternatives?
or any good program that can convert my videos without changing the quality?

I know how to change it into timer mode, but how do I change the time length? I want the timer to be 2 seconds long, not 10. Any help anyone?

How to upload pictures from my Nikon D3100 to my Macbook pro?
I have the SD card and I inserted it into the SD card slot into my Macbook Pro, but nothing is happening. I also have a USB cable as back up, but when I inserted it in the computer, nothing happened either. I'd rather use the SD card slot, so if any one can help me that'd be great! I need it pretty much within 40 minutes.

About the Focal DA-2000 flash?
I found this Focal DA-2000 flash unit in my house the other day and tried it on my Nikon D3000.It worked fine, but then when I tried to use it again today it didn't work. Does anyone know if this flash is supposed to work with D3000's? Or if it is safe to use with one?
