How to stop getting a grainy picture?
I don't know weather its the lighting. But i got bought some at christmas and no matter how much i changed the camera settings (not that i knew what i was changing fully) it just wouldn't go away. The picture was really grainy! How do you get rid of it? I have a Nikon D90 if thats any help.

Nikon j1 lens and if i picked the rite camera?
I just got the nikon. J1 with the 10-30 mm lens wanted to know if I really need the 10mm or the 30 something one.
I'm still trying to figure if I paid to much for this camera. I have two toddlers with a canon powershot sd1000. Wanted something better.
I was looking at the canon rebel t2i and a nikon d3100 14.2. Not sure if I just went with the j1 cause it was smaller and cutier.

Is the Nikon d3000 better than the d40?

Hi, i'm looking to buy a new lens for my Nikon D3100. I'm looking for a lens that will allow me to zoom in further than the standard 18-55mm kit lens. I need a lens with a motor built in (AF-S), and I want it to have Vibration Reduction (VR, or whatever the other brands call it). Want to spend as little as possible, as this is my first DSLR, and i'm not using it for professional purposes. I originally considered the AF-S VR 55-200mm Nikon Nikkor lens, but now I'm considering the 55-300mm version from Nikon. I've also considered getting a Tamron or Sigma, I just don't know what to be looking for when it comes to AF-S and VR. Can someone point me in the right direction in what to get, and where the absolute cheapest place to buy it would be. I'm in the UK and would ideally like prices in £GBP.

Added (1). I never said I 'need' Vibration Reduction, I said I want it.

What brands of lenses can i use with a Nikon D3100?
I know that most Nikkor lenses are compatible.
i was looking at second hand lenses for a D3100 i plan to buy and my attention fell on a 70-300 Sigma Macro DG
but then someone mentioned that I'd be pretty much to use only Nikkor lenses for the D3100
i found this extremely disappointing as I've always loved the quality that Sigma offers

What are some good things and bad things about the Nikon d5100

Does the 18-55mm from the d3100 works with the d7000?
So i'm selling my D3100 for the D7000. I want to know if the 18-55mm works with the d7000 to see if i only buy the body only. My other question is if all the nikkor lenses work with all the nikon cameras? And if my Sigma 70-300 and my nikkor 50mm 1.8d works with the D7000 also.

Sigma 70-300mm Macro DG Telelphoto Lens for Nikon D3100?
I'm planning on buying a Nikon D3100 but am a bit constrained by budget. So I'm looking at the second hand market. I've found a guy selling his Sigma 70-300mm Macro DG Telephoto Lens for 80$
i'm really new to DSLR photography and was hoping for some advice on it
does it even fit my D3100? It said Nikon mount. And is it any good? It costs some 250$ new
