I just order Nikkor AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G lens.will the autofocus work on D3000?
So i ordered this camera… Http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-70-300mm-4-5-5-6G-Digital-Cameras/dp/B000HJPK2C
it SAYS autofocus on it, but someone in the reviews said that the motor that makes it autofocus doesn't work on D3000. But i found a list online that contradicts that… Any suggestions?
AND if it doesn't work… How worried should i be? Will i still be able to get good sports shots without autofocus?
(no patronizing remarks please-- just trying to get info.

Is there a mounted flash that is compatible with Nikon D3000?
The on camera flash isn't so great (as a lot of you will know) and I'd like to practice taking some photos of my friend, but it will be pretty gloomy outside. Just in case I need some extra lighting, I thought I would look in to an alternative. Any pointers? As mentioned above, this is for a Nikon D3000 and I was thinking of renting one to try out first.
