Canon EOS Rebel T3 or Nikon D3100?

I want to differentiate the two to see which one I should get.

Then go to http://www.dpreview.com/...review.com and compare them.

Ask yourself if you want to invest in Canon lenses or Nikon lenses. You're buying the system not just the camera. You might also want to take a look at the Sony a33 or a35.

The "BEST" camera is the one that feels natural in YOUR hands, with controls that you can find/use instinctively.
Both Canon and Nikon make nice cameras. The best thing to do is visit an actual camera shop (not bestbuy/walmart/ASDA) and try the different models within your budget to see which feels the best to YOU. I bought a Canon for its ergonomics/feel/menu and control layout and a fellow photog chose Nikon for the same reason… It is about personal preference.
The one thing to remember is to budget in extra money to cover an extra battery, memory cards, camera case, a USB memory card reader, AND taxes (these can add another $200-$250 to the camera price).
1) Photography is roughly 70% photographer skill/experience, 20% lens quality, and 10% camera body
2) Photography is NOT a cheap hobby or profession

No difference practically. It will be a toss up between costly lenses and lenses that don't AF with the body. If you want better value from your money, get from another brand.

T3 is more affordable and Nikon D3100 will give you better video modes, see the comparison here http://thenewcamera.com/?page_id=4234
