Ill be geting a Nikon D3100 and the options were

D3100 + 18-55

or

D3100 + 55-200

what do you think guys? I'm leaning on 18-55 though.

How much should I sell my second-hand Nikon d80?

It includes the d80 body, Nikon camera bag, Nikon li-on battery pack, AF-S Nikkor 18-135mm lens, AF Nikkor 50mm, memory card, an improvised macro lens for extreme close-up shots, manual, CD, cord and cables.

I've probably had it for 4 years.

What is an inexpensive camera?

I've recently posted a question about which is a better camera between the Nikon L120 and the Nikon D40 because I need a new camera. But now that I have done my research about a lot of products/camera I'm realizing that I shouldn't spend too much money on it.

I'm just a beginner, but want to take NICE, HIGH QUALITY photos with my new camera when I get one. I also love to cook so when I cook I want a camera that can get a good quality shot that is pretty detailed and makes it look almost real. The same goes for when I want to take photos for fashion. Fashion photography would also be nice and I need a camera that can just keep shooting over and over again and keep up with me all the time. I need the photos to come out good.

Lastly, I just want a camera that's good for regular use too. Like everyday photos and has the option to take movies as well. I just want an inexpensive camera but is a little better than most.

If you can help me out with that, I would really appreciate it! Feel free to leave your suggestions and opinions on what camera I should use or what I should do.

How to fit Zykkor Super Wider Semi Fisheye lens on Nikon D3100?

My uncle gave me a fisheye lens, It's a Zykkor fisheye lens and it says it's 55mm. I tried putting it on the lens on my Nikon D3100… Then lens says it's 18-55mm. So shouldn't the fisheye lens fit perfectly on my camera's lens? I tried putting it on my camera and it just won't fit! What size fisheye lens do I need to get for my camera? Or am I just putting the lens on wrong or something?

My Nikon D40's manual mode doesn't work?

I just bought it 15 minutes ago off of craigslist.
it works in all modes except manual, on the screen it just shows up black.

also it says that flash is on but it doesn't flash.

i've never used a dslr so i don't know exactly what i'm doing.

Added (1). Let me extend the previous information.

in manual mode, the picture after it's taken doesn't show up on the screen like it should in normal DSLR cameras.pick up a manual.

Is it safe to use an off brand aftermarket grip?

I really want to get a battery grip for my D3100. But I don't know if it's safe to get a non-Nikon grip for it. Nikon doesn't make a grip for the D3100, so I'd have to resort to other companies. There's a pack with the grip and an off brand battery for $40.
Would it be safe to use?
Also, would this:
http://www.amazon.com/...004TJ6JH6/
be safe to connect to the D3100 hotshoe? I heard that if you connect non-Nikon flashes to it, it might damage the camera.
Thanks!

Added (1). Nikon doesn't make a grip for the D3100. I want the grip so I can get a better grip on the camera. The camera is kind of small and I have big hands. Also it will be more convenient to take portrait shots. If Nikon did make a grip for the D3100, I would go for that and not this off brand grip.

What Nikon lens set-up?

This is pretty much a follow up from my earlier question:

I'm wondering if I were to get the D90/D7000 whether to go with the kit 18-105mm lens or not?

With my old D40 I have still the original kit 18-55mm (Non-VR), 55-200mm VR and 50mm 1.8.So I'm curious as to whether it'd be worth when getting the D90/D7000 to also get the 18-105mm with it too?

I've heard that the 18-55mm is sharper though but kinda feel like I've outgrown it, but don't know what the next step would be and although I already have the 55-200mm whether the 18-105mm would be a better lens and to sell or give the 18-55mm to a friend? As the 18-105 is VR would this make any considerable difference to make it worth getting? Or should I just save the money and put it towards a different new lens/new flash gun?

Mainly shooting landscape, in-door, portrait and cities really.
