I'm an amateur photographer. I have a Nikon D90 with it's kit lens AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. Recently I bought the SB-910 flash. I'm thinking of buying a set of different lenses and other accessories now. Please be professional and concise in answering the question.citing sources is preferable.
How to tell if an old SLR camera works?
I'm familiar with DSLR camera (I have a nikon D3000). I want to get into film, and I always see old slr film cameras at the flea market. Before I buy one, how can I tell if the camera works? Do I carry around my own batteries and film to test them out? I know my DSLR can't be exposed to light/dust when I take off the lens, so I'm guessing it's the same with an SLR. That's all I really know.
Why is my nikon D80 is taking very dark photos?

SD card not reviewing in my Nikon D3100! Read description?
It says 'SD card not inserted' I tried the SD card with my other camera it still didn't work. I brought it to Blacks where they put it in the picture review machine and the pictures were FINE and still there but won't work in the camera. They told us to format the sd card or 'erase all the data' but it isn't an option on my Nikon, it says it doesn't work with the feature i'm on. Please Help
Added (1). There's a format option on my nikon BUT it won't let me click it. How do i enable it?
How to take a very detailed picture of my eye?
I would really like to try to do something like this but for some reason, my camera won't focus on my eye at all. I'm using a Nikon D40x with a 55-200mm lens. Instead of using my manual setting, I set it to macro but my camera still won't focus on my eye. Do I need to get a macro lens or do I just need brighter lighting?
Is there any camera attachment where I can change my aperture?

I use a Nikon D5100 shooting on complete manual, I'm also shooting raw but once I upload the picture to photoshop it doesn't come out as sharp? Really quality! Please any suggestions or help? Can it be the screen thats to big 17"?
