Recommendation for a good portrait and landscape lens?

I'd be getting a DSLR this coming May and it will be Nikon D7000. Do you guys have recommendations on what lens is best for each to exploit their sensor resolution. Please do indicate if they are expensive and or cheap so i could forecast my budget.
I"m into street photography, events, some portraits and landscape. Especially for portrait(full body) and landscape. Third party lenses are welcome provided you really recommend them and What about my camera choice?

How is editing pictures on the Macbook Pro?

I would like to get a Macbook one of these days. I'm an up and coming photographer and need something that has a lot of storage for photos and has a killer Photoshop and editing software. I work with a Nikon D3000 and a Nikon D5000 so I need professional effects for editing.
And overall… Do you all around recommend a Mac? I work with a Samsung desktop right now… An upgrade would always be nice.

Added (1). I would just be getting the 13 inch Mac.

A good lens for my Nikon?

I have a Nikon D5100 and it is perfect for what i do, i really love it!
But sometimes i like to set it up on the tripod while making videos so that i can be in them (such as riding my horse) I still only have the 18-55mm lens it came with but the trouble is i can either manually focus it for videos meaning the subject can't move without me to refocus it, or auto focus which the same applies really!

Is there a lens that is able to pick up on what is moving or what i originally focused it on (like the cheaper handheld cameras seem to do) or is this just a con of this camera?
Many thanks! X

Added (1). AHh thank you! Sorted it!

Which lens should I look at purchasing?

I have the Nikon D90, with the 18-105mm F/3.5-5.6 lens.
Now that I've learned how to shoot in manual mode, I'm looking to get a lens that's better with shallow depth of field, as well as a macro or maybe a filter for macro?
I see a lot of lenses with a small f stop number, but they're not zoom lenses as far as I can tell, and since that's what I'm used to, I'm a little confused at how it's going to work.
So. Which lens for dop would be best?
Which lens for macro? Or should I just get a filter?
And if it's not a zoom lens, what do I need to know?

Added (1). I need the macro because I like taking close ups of flowers and such.
The lens for shallow dop is for portraits.

Would a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 work on a canon 5d Mark II with an adapter?

I recently sold my Nikon D3100 due to the fact that i'm saving up for a 5D MarkII but was wondering if the Nikkor 50mm 1.4 would work with an adapter:

Would the autofocus work at all?

Will a be able to trade my Nikon D90 for a Canon T2i at a camera shop?

I bought it brand new Christmas of 2010, it now has about 20k shots on it, no scratches or damage that I have been able to find, and it functions perfectly. It has a 18-105mm lens. I was hoping to trade it for either a new or used Canon T2i or T3i. Do you think the shop will take it?

T3i is better at lower ISO levels than Nikon D5100? - 1

And D5100 is better at higher ISO level than T3i. I'm comparing many photos on Flickr from the T3i & D5100 and it seems that the D5100 seems to yield softer photos compared to T3i. I'm confused because many reviews say that the D5100 has a slightly better edge over the T3i in terms of image quality but I find this to be the opposite after comparing hundreds of different photos on Flickr from different photographers using different lenses.
