Would a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 work on a canon 5d Mark II with an adapter?

I recently sold my Nikon D3100 due to the fact that i'm saving up for a 5D MarkII but was wondering if the Nikkor 50mm 1.4 would work with an adapter:

Would the autofocus work at all?

The autofocus won't work nor will autoexposure.
Unless that lens has manual aperture control you will be limited to full aperture only.
For under £300 you can have a CAnon EF 50mm f/1.4. Sell your Nikon on Ebay and you will only need to find an extra £100, less the £20 for the adaptor means you get a fully working lens for £80. That is peanuts compared to what you will pay for your 5D.

You should just buy a Canon 50… Well, actually you should've just kept your 3100… No, the AF won't work…
