My nikon d40 is really blurry?
What should i do
its won't focus.
I have one of these cameras. They are great. Is the MANUAL/AUTO switch on AUTO? Also, make sure the lens contacts are clean and the battery is charged. Other than that, you may have to take it to a shop.
You probably have it on manual focus. Two ways of setting manual focus:
1. The switch on the lens. See page 8 in your manual.
2. Menu setting. See page 28 in your manual.
If you don't have a manual, download it from Nikon's web site.
Check the diopter adjustment dial, on the side of the viewfinder. It's used to adjust for variations in users' eyesights. But, it's easy to accidentally rotate the dial, turning your viewfinder into a state of permanent blur.
The second thing to check is your lens. Make sure the A/M switch is set for "A" for automatic. Also, dismount your lens and check the pins and the matching contacts in the camera body's mount to make sure they are clean. Sometimes just a little cleaning works wonders.
Hope this helps.
