Is it safe to take a photo of a solar eclipse?
I'm using a Nikon d5100 which is a DSLR. I don't have any kind of solar filter to use, but I was wondering if it is safe for me to quickly take a photo of a partial solar eclipse? I'm using an 18-55mm lens.

Just bought the nikon d5100 I would love to take pictures through the LCD screen. The viewfinder works as it should but the monitor stays black when trying to take pictures, it does work for info, menu, and looking at pictures already taken.

Is the Nikon D3100 good for beginners?
So basically i have just gotten a lot into photography mainly because my best friend has DSLR camera and i use it a lot (she has the Canon 1100D. I think. Lol) And anyway i was just wondering if it is a good camera for people like me. Basically beginners. I'm 15 years old ( girl ) if that makes a difference ahaha.
I know it has 16.2 megapixels which is more than enough for me.
At first i thought about getting a Canon 550D but i thought about it and its kinda expensive: O ( Like £550)
So yeah.
I'm thinking of getting the NikonD3100 from Currys so could you please recommend a lense that i need to by to go with it: D

We were taking photos, and I pressed a button near the start button (there's a +/- button and a button with a shape) i think i presse the button with the shape. I already tried to take out the battery and the card, and put it all back, but it still won't take photos. When i press the photo button, and there's the number of photos that i can take (729), so when I press it, sht like г09 appears. I don't know what to do!

I'm using the camera in Manual mode.
the remote Flash with Slave Digital option in the flash, and in Camera I enabled the "e1Flash Control for Built in flash - TTL" I'm a beginner so not sure. What actual information you are looking for. Please let me know if you need more info for my question.
I believe the Camera flash controls the Remote Flash.
