What is a good lens mounting adapter to use Canon lens on Nikon body?

Added (1). Its Canon EF lens on Nikon D7000 body.
the reason is to use my friend's lens on my Nikon body.

What kind of lens? Is it an EF or EF-S lens? Or FD?

if it is an EF or EF-S, then it was a silly idea to buy the lens if you already had the Nikon body, or silly to buy the Nikon body when you already had the lens
