How is nikon d5100 as compared to other dslr, i'm thinking of buying it?

Best portrait lens for Nikon D5100?

I want to do portrait photography, both head shots and full body shots. I can't decide between the 50mm 1.8 lens and the 35mm 1.8 lens given the D5100's crop factor. What do you think?

Nikon D5000 won't charge or turn on?

So I have a nikon d5000. I love this camera and I've had it for about a year and a half, maybe two years now. I haven't used it in quite a few months though. I put it away in one of my bedroom drawers when the battery was drained out because I couldn't find the charger so I didn't have any use for it at that point. But I just recently cleaned out my room and found the wall charger and the camera again. I left it on the charger overnight and it won't turn on and the light on it isn't blinking or anything when it's attached to the charger… What can I do to get it to turn on/charge?

Extension tubes for nikon d5100?

So, i have a kit lens i.e 18-55mm and a 70-300 (VR) telephoto zoom lens. For macro photography i heard kenko extension tubes are the best. Are they?
and gives the same image quality as we get from a good macro lens. I want really close and sharp pictures of insects. And their eyes, like we see in actual macro photography.
I live in India, so please suggest me good extension tubes within a range of rs.10, 000 (200$) .

Good zoom lense for my Nikon D3200?

I have a Nikon D3200 and am currently using the lense that came with the camera. That is the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR NIKKOR Zoom Lens. It barely zooms though, and I want a new lense that will zoom more than this lense. But the highest price would probably be 500 dollars, so could anyone tell me what lense would be compatible with my Nikon D3200 with a very good zoom for under 500 dollars?
