Can a Nikon d3100 and a Nikon d60 share lenses?
I'm looking to buy my first dslr (Nikon d3100) and I wanted to know if I could use the lenses my sister already bought for her Nikon d60.

Need to buy a new battery Nikon D50?
Just looked on the Net… Nikon battery 1300/1500 M amps 50 quid upwards… Generic 1800 MA about 6 Quid… Is there really a difference?

Dose anyone know when red Nikon d3200 is coming out?

A 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 telephoto lens. Sigma or Tamron?
I'm thinking about buying my first dslr (a Nikon d5100) and I'm getting the package that comes with the standard 18-55mm zoom lens.
I want to also purchase a second lens, and I find the telephoto lens to be best for everyday things. I've looked at the Nikon, Tamron, and Sigma, but because the Sigma and Tamron are much cheaper, so I'm thinking of purchasing one of those.
Which lens is best including all factors (quality, stability, etc.)? Or are they both not that great, and should I just go with the pricey Nikon?
P.S. I've also looked at the 70-200mm range zoom. If this range is better, I would't mind buying that.

Mom won't let me buy a camera with my own money?
I've wanted the Nikon d5100 DSLR camera for about a year now. I've been researching and found it to be the best, most affordable camera for me. I definitely have the $600, but my mom won't let me get it. All she says is, "It is $600! That is Way too much for you, in college you will need that money." I tell her that I can make money by selling my prints, and photographing others and she says, "Yes, but still, its $600 of your money." That is all she will say.
But I find this ridiculous, because just last year, she let my older sister (by two years) purchase a camera that was $850, and she had no problem with it. My sister barely researched, she just asked my mom and she said yes. My older sister doesn't even use her camera, I've seen her take a picture with it maybe once or twice.
I tell my mom this and she says, "Well she was a year older than you when she got hers". However, mine is $300 less, plus, I have done So much more research than my sister. But my mom doesn't care. She just insists its 'too much money".
Please help! I'm 13 years old and very responsible.
Added (1). @lol- I would, but this is literally my dream camera. It has a flip-out screen, and amazing quality.

What remote trigger works best with the Nikon SB-700?
I'm renting a Nikon sb-700 speedlight and using my Nikon d40. I have read that the sb-700 can work as a trigger for OTHER flashes… But I'm just wanting to use the sb-700 alone, off-camera. And I believe the Nikon d40 does not have the option to remotely call other flashes.
So! I'm curious if anyone knows of a compatible remote trigger for the SB-700 that I can use?

Is Nikon D3200 the best for me?
Okay so I want to buy a DSLR camera. One with amazing results and many options but also user-friendly and not TOO hard to understand. I found out about Nikon D3200 which is on $700 and I could still add the 55-200 mm lens and still remain in my price range of $1000.So give me your views please.

How many years will my Nikon d5000 last?
I read somewhere that the amount of shots also matters. Maybe about 100, 000 shots. Why does it matter how many shots are taken? I take VERY good care of my camera. I've had it for nearly 3 years.

Remote shooting? Can i take pics without touching my camera?
I have a Nikon D3100 with a 200mm
My pics are blurry even with my tripod.
Is there such a thing as a' remote switch' on a wire that i could buy so i can take pics without touching my camera body?
Do you use one? Have you used one? Is there such a thing

Advice on variations of Photography cameras?
Ok so this is going to sound really simple but please consider my experience in this field as 0!
I'm going to be taking a course in College this year in Photography and have been told I need to bring my own equipment which I don't have a clue about.
I thought MegaPixel was the main importance in a camera, but clearly not, you can get good compact cameras with high MP but you never see photographers with them! So what is AF? ISO? Shutter Lag? Viewfinder output? TTL?
I have a Kodak V1003 compact camera, it takes a good enough snap. I've been suggested to buy the Nikon D80, but its only a 10.2mp camera. So what's the difference? Apart from the price tag
