Video Looks all grainy and rough.doesn't have that even clear feeling?
So i'm getting ready to start a vlog vlog but for one the picture just looks weird.i'm using my Nikon D5100 camera cause i don't want to buy one. I heard that it has pretty good reviews on its video quality and i've see some videos other people have done with the camera and they look really good. But for some reason mine just don't look right.i'm not sure what's wrong.

I'm looking to buy my first digital SLR, but I know nothing about lenses. To start, should I buy just the body ($419.99) or buy the kit- Nikon D3100 14.2MP DSLR Camera With AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR Lens Kit ($499.99)
Can someone please explain exactly what that is? I know a little about cameras and lenses but I want to know exactly what I'm buying. Is that a bunch of lenses between the 18-55mm range or something else?
And also, is it worth the extra money for the lens kit, or am I good with just the body for a while? Are you able to take pictures with the body only?
Oh and lastly, what is your opinion on buying a used camera off kijiji or something?

I'm getting the Nikon D5100. What particular things can I do to achieve the film look?
I know things like setting it to 24p and lowering contrast. What else can i do? What's a good and cheap external mic. And what kind of flash?

How much would a Nikon D5000 cost with the lens and 4 memory cards?
How much would a Nikon D5000 cost with an 18-55mm lens, two 4gb memory cards and two 2gb cards? I've really been wanting to sell everything and use the money to buy either a Nikon D5100 or a Canon EOS 60D. Also, which one is better in both video and picture quality? The Nikon D5100 or the Canon EOS 60D?
Added (1). I really want a camera in which the screen comes out on the side. So a d7000 isn't an option especially because of the price. My options are now the Canon 60D and 600D or the Nikon D5100. Which one of those is best?

I want to buy the nikon d3200 and i'm wondering if the Nikon 50mm f1.8G AF-S lens would work on it? Thanks
Added (1). Also, what what lenses would you recommend for portraits, general every day pictures, landscapes etc?
Added (2). What about the Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens?

Nikon D3100 - Good things to know?
I'm doing my first set of senior pictures soon, and I feel like I know my camera pretty well, but I'd like to know it better. Are there good things to know? Focusing info? Setting info?

I have a Nikon D5100 with a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 AF lens (which is a manual focus lens on this camera). When I try to adjust the aperture ring on the lens, the camera tells me to put it back to 22, when I want it to be at 1.8 or 2.8. I don't understand why it won't let me change the aperture?

Best settings for Nikon D5000?
What would be the very best settings for the Nikon D5000 dslr camera for video mode? I'm using the DSLR to shoot skateboarding with the HD Video mode but what are the best settings for video mode? Like focus, and color and WB and such.

What's wrong with my camera? Nikon d5100?
It won't autofocus, and when i use manual focus and take a picture there's a big black square in the middle of everything and you can barely see the picture. What is wrong with it?

My brand new SanDisk memory card is losing memory
I recently purchased a Nikon D5100 and have been taking pictures on the 4GB SanDisk provided. However, I have noticed that the memory available has gone from 4GB down to 1.09 GB in just 1.5 weeks. I have been plugging the memory card into my MacBook Pro and copying the images/videos to a folder, then deleting them from the card. Is there a way I can fix this or reset the original format of the card?
