I want a dSLR camera under $1000?
I'm thinking about the EOS Rebel T2i or a comparable Nikon. I'd like some first hand advice and also thoughts of the best prices online… Ideally for a kit/bundle. I just got the Canon s95 which I don't think is that great. I should have put the money towards a dSLR.

Hi. I'm looking to buy a new camera and am an intermediate user. I want one of these two.
Nikon P100- 10.3 Megapixel with 26X Zoom
Kodak Z981- Aprx. 12 Megapixel with 26X Zoom.
I know that the Nikon is supposed to have a better processor. Does Nikon make a better camera? Which one do you prefer and which one is significantly better?

Added (1). Can somebody please explain this to me? The Kodak has better megapixels and zoom but a CCD processor.
The Nikon has a CMOS processor. Does this processor on the Nikon out rule the one on the Kodak and automatically make it better? Is it simply better hardware?
How much is this camera worth?
I have a 45 year old Nikon F Photomic, received from my grandfather. It's in excellent condition, and came with a 50mm f/1.4 lens. I have no use for it since I don't have any access to new batteries, and wanted to get a little cash to have on hand.
White streaks on pictures. Urgent! (SLR camera)?
I just developed two reels of film at a local CVS drug store. I used 400 iso kodak film in my Nikon SLR F501 camera.
On one of the reels, there are white streaks all over my pictures. Please take a look.
Is this the fault of my camera? Or is this the fault of the development of my film? When I looked at the negatives of these pictures I can see streaks coming up from the tiny holes, that are on the sides of the negative, and on to the pictures. So I know this problem comes from the negatives and it isn't on both of the negatives just one of them. I have a feeling this is the fault of the development lab since this hasn't happened before. Should I ask a refund? Or can this be fixed? The film is already developed so I don't think it can be fixed. But i'm not sure.
I recently bought a used Nikon F5 on eBay; it came with 8 (double A) Duracell batteries, but they're almost dead. I tried to replace them with 8 rechargeable Energizer batteries, and the camera didn't turn on.
I purchased 8 Kodak batteries and it won't work either. It ONLY works with the 8 (nearly dead) batteries that came with the camera when I bought it.
Perhaps this is a stupid question, but… Could it be that it only takes Duracell batteries?
Is this normal?
What compact digital cameras have metal bodies?
I'm looking for a new (compact) digital camera with a durable metal body. I currently have a little Nikon with an aluminum body but, it's about 7 years old & needs to be updated.
It seems that there aren't very many little cameras on the market with metal bodies now.
Can I use a Nikon lens with my Canon camera?
I'm looking for a telephoto zoom lens for my Canon camera, does it have to be Canon too? Or can I choose another brand?

I'm trying to find a good Digital SLR camera and I can't find any cheaper kind. I was wondering if I bought a Nikon Lens is it able to go on any Nikon body? Please help me! And please don't answer unless you know for a fact because I don't want to spend $200 on a lens that can't go on the body I buy!
I love taking pictures… And have always owned a basic digital camera. I'm looking to make a slight upgrade, and it is overwhelming. I want something fairly basic, that I can learn the basics on. I have found a Nikon, Canon and a Sony in my price range, but all of the specs/differences don't mean much to me just yet! I'm looking for suggestions. I want to spend no more than $600… Help!
