Returning a camera to Walmart?

I got a nikon p500 for Christmas as a present for my mom this year. I played around with it for a day and decided it's not the kind I wanted and I plan on getting the Canon eos rebel t3 if they take my camera back. We have the receipt and box and everything it came with, but I'm worried they won't take it back because I used it to test it. Do yall think they will take it back?

1080p video shows up slow on computer?

I recently got a Nikon 3100 Dslr camera and I took a video and uploaded it to my computer via iphoto (I have a mac) and It plays back really slow and glitchy. The audio is fine however. I'm concerned whether Ill be able to make videos with the camera since the clip i uploaded was only about a minute long. Is there anyway I can make the video play correctly on my computer?

Best Nikon Digital Camera?

Are there any nikon digital cameras that are good with taking pictures of people but also good at real "photography" pics? I really want the Nikon coolplix p300 but if there's anything cheaper i would re-recommend it.

Good video camera for outdoorsy person?

I'm really looking for a good video camera that can handle the outdoors. Waterproof is a must. Also, optical zoom is a must. And, it must be able to fit into a coat pocket. I don't want to lug around a big camera. I'm hiking, so weight is an issue too.

The one camera that has caught my attention is the Nikon AW100. Has some nice features, but hasn't gotten the best reviews. However, most of that was geared towards interface or for the pictures, not video. I wouldn't mind a point n shoot with video capabilities, but I would use the video function more than the picture stuff. I use a DSLR for my pictures.

Anyway, just weighing my options here. Anybody know of any video cameras that would be good to fit here?

I wouldn't like anything more expensive than the AW100. That is as high as I'll go. I'm not even sure if the AW100 is worth its price tag.
