Best Nikon for beginners?
I'm an amateur photographer, and have had experience with old SLR's, and am looking for a great Nikon DSRL for the best price. Something affordable, preferably $150-200
Thanks
Added (1). I was hoping I could find something for under 200… But I guess if I can't, i'm willing to spend 500-600:/
$200 isn't going to get you anywhere. You could get a D70, D50 or D100 body (not including lens) for about $200. Nikon's entry level D3100 costs about $575 w/ an 18-55 kit lens. Save your pennies for a few months and ask this question again.
The best Nikon dSLR for a beginner is the Nikon D3100.It has a special feature called the Guide Mode.
Now as far as your budget is concerned, you are a little short
These lower tier entry level dSLR's like the Nikon D3100 cost just under $650
Where did you get the idea you could buy them for under $200?
I would suggest the Nikon D3100, its incredibly simplistic (for a DSLR at least) and still takes great pictures. It will be closer to $350-400 w/o the lens, but then again there isn't anything you could get for much cheaper.
Also what you should consider is the D90 (also nikon) if you have any old Nikon lenses. It is one of the ONLY cameras that will take both old AND new lenses, so you can at least get use out of any old ones.
Again, you won't find anything for the price your looking for (nothing worthwhile at least), spend a little more and get something with lasting power.
