I'm in the market looking for a camera, I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80, I would like to upgrade I had this camera for 5 years now and I think it's time to upgrade. I'm currently deciding if I should stick with Sony or switch over to Canon. I've worked with both and they are nice i'm discarding the nikon point shot cameras I really don't like them. But thats why I came here so you guys can help me out a little this are the two I have in mind
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W230

Please leave you opinion and/or if you have any other camera suggestions please tell me but I'm in a budget of $200.
Added (1). Hey guys thanks for the advice, I was looking to update my 5 year old DSC-W80 from Sony and so I did and well i looked at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W230 and it was heavy compared to the Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS, but I didn't buy neither of these two. I found out that there was a newer model of the Elph 300 hs so i got the Canon Elph 320. Spent 70$ more but hey I like this newer camera
Right now i'm choosing which brand of camera to get. I'm stuck between Nikon, Canon, or Olympus. Which ones better?
My Nikon Camera is not clear, when i use it to take pictures?
It's not clear, how could i do to modify with it?
Focal Points- Extending/Retracting Barrel?
So I was looking at some lenses on youtube and I had noticed (this has been for a long time now) that, and I don't know if this is specific to Nikon, lenses from Nikon retract from smallest focal point but then at a certain point it extends again, and its pretty much at some halfway point in the lens. For example, a 24-70 2.8G from Nikon is fully retracted at 50mm, but fully extended at 24mm, even though in the viewfinder you would go "back", and on my kit lens it was the same, at 18mm it was extend but somewhere between 24-35 it would extend again but not as far.
So is there some mathematical/scientific reason to this, I don't look to much into lens construction and directing light but this does interest me so you can be as technical as you want
Does practice make perfect? Photography?
I'm getting into photography and I love it so much. I have always been interested in it and I use a Pentax K10D. I'm getting a new camera soon. I'm thinking a Nikon.
However here is my album on Flickr:
(some of the pictures I just fooled around with, but there were some pictures that I thought looked good.)
However I would love to end up taking pictures like these:

http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=horse%20photography&order=9&offset=24#/d2uoc0u
Its just beautiful pictures and there's something about them. I would just love to get as good as they do.
So does practice make perfect? Should I try and find a class that does photography (my school doesn't do it anymore)?
Do you have any tips I could improve on?
Thanks!
Added (1). Well actually I never said anything about getting a new camera because I didn't think it took better pictures, I just heard that the Nikon offered more for example videos. I really wished my Pentax did videos but it doesn't.
I'm wanting to buy a Digital SLR, I've never had an SLR before, but i do love photography, i thought it was time to step it up a bit. I'm interested in mainly landscape and wildlife. I have no idea what I need to buy but can anyone help me? I've been reading reviews And I'm not sure what to go for. I've been looking into the canon eos 450d but I'm not sure it seems a really good camera.
How does the Sony 70-200mm SSM f/2.8 compare to the more popular Canon and Nikon versions?
I know that Canon and Nikon are the more preferred way to go but I own a Sony Alpha and was wondering how their version of this lens measures up to the Canon EF 70-200 IS? Both have great reviews on Amazon but I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with either.
How to capture Lightning images without using Tripod and Shutter?
I have a camera Nikon L810 and want to click Lighting images… But I'm not able to click images…
Lenses compatiblity for sony DSLT alpha a65?

I sold a vintage camera online for $5 reserve < very cute vintage Nikon 70s camera
Why? - I stated in the auction that I have not touched it for years (last used was like 2005) and wasn't sure of the condition. I did not deceive anyone since I didn't test it out before I sold it etc. Why would I scam people and make a high reserve when I don't know the state of it?
Before auction closed, no one asked me about the condition or to check anything. So I wasn't responsible for people bidding high as they did (top bid was around $60)
The buyer received the camera TELLING ME AFTER THE AUCTION that he just bought it for the lens and wanted a full refund PLUS the return postage. Threatening me to place bad feedback and saying I didn't reply his emails when in my inbox, trash and spam there was none. He was very unhappy and so was I to give the refund back!
I'm happy to give him the refund of the item and the postage that I SENT HIM, not incl retun postage.
He keeps complaining to me when he hasn't even sent the camera back yet…
What do you guys think?
p.s. This is a TradeMe issue! I'm not a business I was just selling my vintage items that I don't want anymore.
