Sent a wire transfer $376, (the only way you can place a 1st order. ), orders after that can be paypal, credit card, etc., for a nikon 3100 camera kit, never received confirmation, website asks for contact us comments, sent ovr 50 times, received 1 "message sent", all other times message read" order not found" they have a "livechat", which you click on and it brings you back to "contact us" box, and you try again and get nowhere. Where do I go from here?

Nikon 40mm macro vs Nikon 85mm macro?

I'm currently using the nikon 40mm macro lens.
It works quite well but i shoot macro with no tripod, and i try to use high f stops to increase my depth of field. So they often come out slightly off because this causes my shutter speed to have to be lower. And more importantly i have to get right up on everything to get the minimum focus distance.

I was wondering if getting the 85mm would be helpful, seeing as the 85mm would mean i could be further away. (so to create depth of field and not scare away my subjects)
plus the fact that it has VR to stop the blur of it being hand held.

I assume it would be beneficial to upgrade, but i wanted to get some other opinions first.

I don't know what kind of camera to buy?

I'm looking into asking for one of those "high-tech" cameras for Christmas from my parents, however, I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't want one too fancy that legitimate photographers use, but I do want one fancy enough to take clear pictures.

I'd like a camera that takes pictures with about that^ much quality to them. Pardon my units of measurement/levels of fanciness.

Also, Canon or Nikon? Models? Please don't just give me a brand. That really doesn't help me much, a model or kind of camera would be preferred.

I meant the quality or the performance. Does Nikon have something that Canon doesn't? Which performs better? Are Canons more for portraits? Etcetc.

Compact interchangeable lens cameras, which one to get?

I want to buy a compact lens camera, good detail within shots etc. But don't want it to cost an absouloute bomb! I've looked at the 1 series by nikon, but they just don't seem to have good enough detail within the photos. The leica M series has the quality, just to expensive. Obviously you get what you pay for but what's the best bang for buck on the market at the moment? It can be as basic as anything, just with a lcd display.

I bought an expensive item at Walmart and it was past their refund/exchange policy. I call the manufacture and they were able to care for my issue. The only problem is that they couldnt replace the product as it was no longer available so they refunded me the amount i paid (as i provided my receipt for the purchase). They did not refund the taxes paid. They said that I would have to go to the vendor or the state…

Why won't my computer recognize my camera?

So, I plug in my Nikon L105 to upload pictures via usb cable, but my computer doesn't even realize something's plugged in. My mouse is plugged in via usb cable and it works fine, but nothing happens when I plug in my camera. The cable is perfectly fine, never been damaged. What's the deal?
