Right now i have a Casio EX-Z29. I love it and have had it for 3 years. But now i'm interested in photography as a hobby, so i want a more advanced camera. A point and shoot under 200. I've been looking at the Nikon L810 and Olympus SZ-10. Looking for a megazoom. 14x and up!
Compare DSLR: Sony a37 OR Nikon 3100?
Which DSLR camera is better. Provide reasoning as well please.
Is Fujifilm a Declining Photography Company?
I'm planning to buy a Fujifilm model camera for around $300. However my dad says that Fujifilm has been on a decline and recommends that I consider a Nikon or Canon model instead. Otherwise I'm happy with the camera I picked for the price. Is Fujifilm really that bad of a camera company now compared to its competitors?
High quality, moderately priced dSLRs?
I'm in the market for a new dSLR. The maximum I'm able to spend is about $800, but I'm hoping to find something between $600-700 if possible. I much prefer Canon, but I use a Nikon at work so I'm open to those and suggestions for any others. I'd like for it to be able to record HD video as well.
I'm also planning on being abroad for 4-5 months next year, so bigger is not necessarily better in my case.
I was even looking at some of those new "cross over" type cameras, where the body is closer to the size of a typical digital camera, but has special dSLR style lenses. Like these:
http://store.sony.com/...ier=S_NEX… But I'm really skeptical about them.
I've been looking at the Canon T3i and similar models.
Any suggestions?
Which is a better film Camera?
The Canon AE-1 or Nikon fm2… Just want to know because i already have a canon ae1 and i want to see if i should start shooting with the Nikon fm2 not really i Nikon fan but it doesn't hurt to try.
Which camera should i upgrade to? - 1

If you had the choice between the Nikon F5, F4, and F100 what would you choose?
I currently am looking for a good Nikon SLR that is under $600. These three are ones that I keep finding people talking about. So if you had to choose between the three, which one would it be?
Also, if there's a different Nikon SLR for under $600 that you think is better, what is it?
I do mainly landscape and portrait work.
Added (1). Also, the 35Ti can be included in this as well.
Added (2). Lenses: 35mm 1.8G DX, 50mm 1.8D, and a 70-300mm f/4-5.6G. I'm not sure if these will work on the F100 model… Also, what lenses do you use/suggest for the F100? Secondly, does the quality of the image depend on the film being used?
Added (3). Are my lenses I listed compatible with either the F4 or the F100?
What can i use to clean the inside of my 50 mm lens?
I have a 50 mm lens. For a Nikon EM, but after much cleaning of the outer part of the lens it seems to still be dirty, i'm not sure if its on the inside of the lens? Or perhaps i need to change cleaning liquid? I'm very new to this camera lens stuff so some information would be much appreciated thanks.
Nikon FM10 Film Camera Lenses?
I was wondering what high aperture lenses are compatible with the Nikon FM10 film camera?
Added (1). Also do any Minolta lenses fit in this camera?
What's the difference between a silver and a black Jupiter-8 lens?
I'm totally new to Russian lenses but am thinking of trying one and am considering either the jupiter-8 50mm f/2 or the jupiter-9 85mm f/2. The jupiter-8 is cheaper and more affordable for me but not sure the difference between the black version and the silver version. I know the black one is newer but which one should I get if I prefer easy and smooth focusing mainly for everyday video?
Another thing is, is there different versions too for the jupiter-9 just like the 8? Cause I already have a nikon 50mm 1.4 and I think at least focal length wise, a 85mm makes more sense to get then another 50mm. But again, are there different versions and what are the difference?
And in general, which one, the jupiter-8 or jupiter-9 is better? From a movie recording pov at least? Ease of use, bang for the buck, quality, fun to use, etc? Or any other suggestions as a russian lens starter?
Thanks!
Added (1). Thanks a lot for all the input!
Sorry but I forgot to add, I'm a Nikon user but just bought an NEX-5N for everyday video recording and point and shoot because of its compact and light weight. Hence I'm planning to try out some Russian lenses on the 5N as a starter. Don't think I'll bother buy an adaptor for my Nikon camera to use Russian lenses anyway. So the 5N will be the sole user. Would that make a difference?
