Best camcorder and dslr for shooting weddings?
First of all I want to mention that I'm new to the world of photography and filming and second I live in Holland, so my English isn't perfect… ( oh, and I'm a student and 18 year old)
So I'm completely new to the world of photography and filming, but nevertheless eager to start shooting…
My primary goal is to shoot weddings. And I have about 1 year to learn everything to shoot professionally a wedding. I already have read many articles about camera's and dlsr's. And I can work a little bit with photoshop and other programs, and I'm continually making progress with those sort of programs… So post-processing won't be a big problem ( and I also have a really good computer, that can handle editing )
Ok, now to the questions:
- Am I going to make it in 1 year?
- What camcorders do I need? For example I could get 2 second-hand Canon XL2 for around 2500 euro (3300$)
and 2 second-handed Canon XH A1 for 3000 euro (4000$)
And other camcorders are sort of out my budget right now,
for example the Canon XL H1and the sony PMW EX3 which cost around 4000euro (5300$) for 1 camera.
- Second question according to camcorders is, should I buy a HD camcorder or a SD. I assume that all my future clients have full-hd televisions and blu-ray players. So i really want to shoot in the best quality, and give that stunning look…
- What DSLR for photo shooting should I use.
For example: a second handed Nikon d700 costs about 1200 euro(1600$)
a d300/d300s costs about 800/1000 euro(1000$/1300$)
a d7000 costs about 700 euro (900&)
-Which books, websites, articles should i read to learn more about shooting video and photos?
Thanks in advance
Added (1). *** On our ''ebay'' I have seen 2 Canon XH A1 for 2800 euro (3700$) I think I can get them for 2500 euro (3300$).

Would it be worth upgrading to the Nikon D700 from D300 now?
I've been thinking about going full frame, and the Nikon D700 seems to be a pretty good choice. Similar size to D300 and decent price.
I mainly want to get a full frame camera for the high iso performance. I want to stick with Nikon as I just prefer them to be honest, personal choice.
But my question is, is it going to be worth it, what with the D800 just being announced, and also the D7000 high iso performance seems pretty good too. Is the D700 a bit old and outdated?
I read on Ken Rockwells website that you should not buy a new D700 anymore. But I have heard mixed thoughts on Ken Rockwells reviews, so not sure how to take that.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Also the D800 has too many megapixels than is needed to be honest. Also I heard that reduces its lowlight capabilities?

Is it worth buying the rode videomic?
I'm currently using the Nikon d300s with the built in microphone, the video is great however the audio is not as good as I would like. I'm going to upgrade to an external mic and have considered the rode videomic, my budget is £100 so I can't afford the pro version. Does anyone know if the sound of the autofocus would still be picked up on the rode mic and if there are any other mics that are better for my budget?
Added (1). Also is it worth considering the nikon me-1?
