How to produce this effect?

These are a series of shots posted by "Plush Glamour Photography & Design" the photographer is not revealing how she produced these… Does anyone know how to do this or what it is called… I have heard others refer to it as 'light leaks'

Note: Camera used is a Nikon D3S

Added (1). I do know this is possible in photoshop, however I prefer to get it right in camera instead of editing.

The affect is called using a Gobo.

Something is placed between the lens and the subject or between a lighting source, used to control the shape of emitted light. And stage set and was first introduced in the motion picture industry.

A link that explains a Gobo

http://en.wikipedia.org/...(lighting)

In this case (as you can see by the first link, where a photo was shot of the LCD showing the image) was done by placing something like stained glass between the front of the lens and model. The closer to the lens, the more out of focus the Gobo

Light leaks are an entirely different thing, a problem actually caused by a camera back not sealing out light and causing fogging of the film. This can't happen with a digital camera, since there's no back that needs to be opened to remove film.

You can also do that in Photoshop.

Experiment on it a bit. Take off the lens hood. Set the camera on a tripod. Hit the lens with a flashlight from the side of the subject while staying out of the picture. For those different colors, use LED lights. Visit a kid's candy or toy shop. They have those small single LED ring lights that come in basic colors.
