My (refurbished) Nikon d3000 was dropped last week and I'm going to be purchasing a replacement camera soon. I for sure want to get a longer warranty this time. However, I'm going to be purchasing a refurb again and want to know how Mack warranties work with refurbs. Do Mack warranties even apply to refurbished cameras? Any info you can give would be great!
Also, I'm going to be purchasing from adorama.com… So do I just buy the camera and the warranty together and I'm set? How does that work?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Nikon d3000. I would like to either purchase the Nikon d90 or the Nikon d5000. From what I can tell the two cameras seem pretty similar, except the price. What are some pros/cons about each and which would you recommend?
Thanks.
Added (1). Ben,
I was looking for a more personal opinion/review of each, but thank you! I had come across that page earlier. Before I posted this question I did quite a bit of research on each camera, but decided that I wanted to try to get some feedback on here as well.

Which digital SLR for under £500?
I'm going on a 6/7 month trip to India/Asia/Australia and am looking to buy a good digital SLR to take some pictures!
I'm a complete novice but am hoping to read a few photography books. My budget is £500 as I don't want to be carrying anything more expensive with me and I'm sure there's no need anyway.
I'm considering a few options.
1. Spending ~£250 on a Nikon D40 or Canon 400D with standard 18-55mm lens
2. Spending ~£160 on a D40 or 400D and then a better quality lens though I wouldn't know which one.
3. Spending £430 on a new Nikon D3100 or maybe even £490 of a 550D (though this is a little expensive). These 2 have the advantage of doing video which I'm sure I would use in the 6 months.
Which option would give me the best quality pictures for the best price? And also any cameras in between to consider?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Is it ok to take my Nikon D3100 out in the snow?
I just purchased a Nikon D3100 and I'm still learning about it. I was wondering if its ok to take it outside to take picture of the falling snow. I don't want to ruin my camera because it was cheap but I'd love to get pictures of the falling snow.
If you have any tips or tricks for using the camera those are greatly appreciated also.

Lens, 18-105 mm? Needing some professional
I'm new into Dslr cameras.
So I wanted to know should I buy a 18-105 mm lens for my Nikon d3100, and how can it be used?
Why it is different than 15-55mm, which is the difference?

Waterproof Camera Case for Nikon D40?
I do not need anything for complete submersion. I need a case for my Nikon D40 because I want to take some awesome swimming pictures. I'm going to be on top of the water, but I want to protect it from splashes and like it might go half under or completely under the water at points but I'm not going to sit on the bottom of the pool for 30 minutes. I may go under for like a minute or not even go under. What I'm trying to say is I don't need a $1000+ camera housing. Any ideas for a less expensive waterproof case?

What would be a good step up from a Nikon D40 DSLR?
I'm planning to upgrade my DSLR and I have a Nikon D40 at the moment. The Nikon D40 is alright, but I would like something with more megapixels and higher quality photos, also I would love to have a much better autofocus and light balancing qualities. I would like to take professional quality pictures but I just use my camera for casual personal use so it dosen't have to be too fancy. Which DSLR camera do you think meets my description? It would be more convenient if it was a Nikon.
