How to get auto focus to work with Nikon D3100 for video?
I've followed the instructions but it WILL NOT auto focus… What am I doing wrong?
Added (1). PS. I figured out that the camera needs an extreme amount of light for the autofocus to work. I did a little research and found this to be common.
How to get these kind of tones?
I love the tones in the photo above but no matter what settings I use in my Nikon D90, I just can't get them.
I just bought a Nikon D3100, what should my first lens be?
The package i bought came with the kit lens, but i want to invest in a high quality lens that can do more.
i know little to nothing about lenses so if you could direct me to a site that explains more about them that would be much appreciated.
On flickr some photos have a little map that shows where the picture was taken?
Does the Nikon D3100 have the ability to do this?
I have a Nikon D60. When I set my camera to Auto, the pictures are very good quality. When I set the dial to the "P" (Programmed Auto) or say "A" (Aperture-Priority Auto) the quality is considerably worse. Its grainy and just doesn't look very nice. Could this be a problem with the camera itself, the lens, or just me as a photographer?
Is the D3000 kinda the same as the D5000?
Does it have some of the same features?

Will a faulty Nikkor AF-S lens with faulty Auto focus still work on Nikon D50?
I have seen a faulty Nikkor AF-S lens being offered. Apparently it works but will not Autofocus. I assume the motor in the lense is faulty?
I have a nikon D50 which I understand has a focus motor in the body, so will this faulty lens still work with it and focus, or should I just give it a miss.
Is the Nikon D7000 really worth double the price of the Nikon D3100?

are the extra do-dads that you get with the D7000 really worth twice as much as the D3100 is worth?
