Is a Nikon D40 good for beginner?

I'm thinking of buying a used Nikon D40 for the $300… Is this a good camera for beginners? Worth for the price? Also, it comes with a fish eye lens, will I need to buy a separate lens for "regular" photos?

Recommend lens for shooting landscapes please? - 1

I have a nikon d3100, a 18-55 mm nikkor vr lens and a 55-300 nikkor vr lens… I'm looking for a lens (I think wide angle) that will allow me to take better landscape shots that have some "drama" ( I shoot a lot of seascapes and wide open spaces)… I'm on a budget of course, and a novice. So I need advice. Some people have mentioned tokina wide angle lenses to me, what do you think? And is vr important with wide angle lenses, or is tripod use assumed?
I'd appreciate some recommendations.

How to earn money to buy photoshop? And how much does it cost?

I want to buy a fisheye lens and basic photoshop before summer comes around (i.e.july). This means I have 4 months to save. I get about 40 pounds per month pocket money and already have about 120 pounds saved. I just wanted to know,
how much does photoshop and a fisheye lens (I have a Nikon D3000 camera) cost?
And how can I earn the extra money in 4 months? (Oh and I'm from London if that makes a difference)
Thank-you!

Can a wide angle lens converter work with a 35 mm lens on a nikon d90?

This is dumb… But i just bought a wide angle lens converter for a 52 mm thread lens. I have a 35 mm lens to fit it, but I'm guessing it has to be a zoom lens?

Is the Nikon D3100 a great entry-level DSLR camera?

I've been looking online for weeks, and I think the D3100 will be my choice as a first DSLR camera. I've become so accustomed to using point-and-shoot cameras and I really want to take the next step up. I've taken mediocre and great pictures with the Nixon S205 point-and-shoot, but I want consistent quality. I know there's a Canon competitor, but I think I like Nikon better.

Just one thing I've noticed is that Nikons in general don't take good pictures in the dark and easily become noisy, even with flash. So, any suggestions?

Lighting options for Nikon D5000?

I'm a novice photographer that has mainly used natural lighting for my work and I would love to get into some studio work. I know I need a lot of practice and I'm ok with that. However, I do not live my a camera store with employees to help me make sure I'm purchasing the correct equipment for my skill level and camera.

I have a Nikon D5000 and I would like to get a few simple pieces of studio equipment that I can use at my house, or take to a neighbor's house (I have been practicing with friends and family for a while) so it must be reasonably portable.

If I get some lighting (a must have I know) what wireless sensory should I get so I do not have to connect the lighting directly to my camera?

Do you recommend Chroma key backgrounds over actual backgrounds or would you got both?

Any other suggestions any photographers may have for me?

Thanks

Lenses & Filters for Nikon dslr?

I'm planning to buy Nikon D7000. Please guide me if this selection is fine:

Selected following lenses:

Macro lens: sigma 105mm F/2.8 lense for Nikon d7000
Wide angle: Nikon 10-24mm AF-S Nikkor f/3.5-4.5G DX ED
Standard lens: Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX
Telephoto lens: Nikon 55-200mm VR AF-S f/4-5.6G ED

Based on the maximum size of the filter thread i.e. 77mm of above lenses, I'm planning to get all filters of 77mm with step up rings
Filters selected:

Tiffen 0.6 graduated neutral density
Hoya UV filter
Hoya Circular Polarized filter

Now, assuming that i'm a novice. Please guide, whether the selection is right or you will suggest some improvements.
Further, what else you will suggest to be bought. As I need to get all this from US, and getting it time and again is not possible (cost difference from where I live is like 30-40%).So do provide suggestions
